The initial attack caused these wounds.
In Florida, a savage dog attack reinforced the efficacy of firearms for personal defense. In this case, the person who used the firearm did not even own it. He had been attacked by his Grandson's dog, and had jumped over a fence to escape the attack. While there, he heard screaming at his house, and discovered that the pit bull was now attacking his roommate, David Brasher, who was 63 years old. From wpbf.com:
David Brashear was taken to Lawnwood Regional Hospital with severe bites and lacerations on his arms. He was listed in critical condition and was in intensive care.As Bacchus, who was the person first attacked, and the woman neighbor, Gina Day, listened to the screams, they were desperate for a solution. Fortunately, Day had a gun, a 9mm Ruger pistol, which appears to be a K95PR.
"He's attacking him, and we have to stop him, and I said 'I have a gun,' because none of us were going to go up to the dog and pull him off," Day said.A gun gave a wounded grandfather the ability to stand up to the attacking dog and drive it off, very likely saving the roommate's life.
Day gave Bacchus her 9mm handgun and he fired into the ground, and when that didn't work, he shot Nova's rear. The dog released Brashear and went inside.
When I go to a home to interview someone and see Pit Bulls or Dobermans its almost a sure bet drugs are probably close by.
Butt Ugly and Useless dogs!
Why is it, that every time I mention how aggressive and deadly this breed of dogs are on facebook or elsewhere, I get attacked viciously attacked by other people? They proceed to tell me that its the owners fault not the dog. :/ No other breed seems to do this as regular as pitbulls.
To fix the brute up defies logic.
This dog needed to be put down after the first attack. Once a dog goes for somebody’s throat, it should be an easy call.
These two did everything they could not to harm the attacking dog. Is this supposed to be commendable?
Most dogs will growl and give you a nip if they’re pushed too far. It’s a warning to back off and leave them alone.
Pit bulls just seem to have an on/off switch and go ballistic with no warning signal. They don’t give a warning nip, they attack full-out.
Watch this video and tell me again, that pitt bulls are are great family dog.
There is a reason that Police forces and the Military don’t use pitt bulls in the line of service.
It probably IS the owners’ fault. The owners deliberately select a breed known to be aggressive and deadly. This may be because the owners are wanting to project a “tough guy-don’t mess with me” image or simply that they are using the most easily available dangerous animal to guard some nefarious activity. There have been entirely too many documented cases of certain breeds’ dangers for a rational person to deny;all dogs are not equal.
I found this website that gives a detailed account of a animal advocate that changed her views on pit bulls.

“The owners deliberately select a breed known to be aggressive and deadly.”
Pit Bull = Four-legged penis extension.
That dogs balls should have been removed a long time ago. Too late now.
