10 Things to Do on the Day The Economy Collapses
Ask a Prepper ^ | C. Davis

Posted on 04/28/2015 9:25:27 AM PDT by ClaudeDavis

“Most of us are so used to running out to the supermarket or to Wal-Mart for whatever we need that we never even stop to consider what would happen if suddenly we were not able to do that. Already the U.S. economy is starting to stumble about like a drunken frat boy. All it would take for the entire U.S. to resemble New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina would be for a major war, a terror attack, a deadly pandemic or a massive natural disaster to strike at just the right time and push the teetering U.S. economy over the edge.” - Steve Quayle (Source)

Plus the current debt ($18 Trillion) is nearly as much as the country produces in a whole year. In the short run, the economy and voters benefit from deficit spending. In the long run, a growing Federal debt is like driving with the emergency brake on, further slowing the U.S. economy. At any point, debt holders could demand larger interest payments to compensate for what they perceive as an increasing risk they won't be repaid. When this happens, the United States will have to pay exorbitant amounts just for the interest.

So don’t be totally surprised if one day you hear it on the news, and the next week you’ll lose your job or you can’t sell anything or you go to the store just to find out that bread costs $40 and all your money will go into buying food, preventing you from paying you credits, bills or rent...

Ah.
So his goal is ranking results.

A noble cause, I’m sure.
How does Free Republic fit into that cycle?

Isn’t he just being a parasite?

Google ranks based on a very complex algorithm which has never been made public. They do issue guidance on their ranking system.

They are looking for original content. If the content is duplicated then Google reduces the ranking. Reduced ranking results in showing up lower on the list for searches.

Yes, and since he/she obviously knows that, it concretely makes him/her a premeditated blogpimp for stealing another site's bandwidth and audience to "massage his google up higher".

FR fits in because it provides a high quality link to his content. This increases his ranking.

FR benefits because we would never see the article if he didn’t post it here.

Aren’t blog pimps allowed to post here as long as they post it in blogs?

In my personal opinion (not that anyone asked) the attacks on blog pimps are far more distracting and wasteful than the blog articles being posted.

Some of these articles are crap articles but some are useful and we’d never see them without the pimp doing his pimping.

Steven Quayle? Isn’t that the guy who claims he hobnobs with four star generals?

If you will

Jim Robinson prefers that they post their articles here, if they want us to read them.

Laz, you may be on to something.

Dear newbieClaudeDavisPerson, fishing for prepper information...here’s what you get publicly:

We are all screwed, including you and your NSA pals.

No one here preps. We all accept our fates, except that which fed.gov allows us to have.

Via Condias & get thee to infowars...you might gin up more revenues there.

Meanwhile, piss off, drama queen.

The end.

I certainly don’t prep. All my supplies were lost in a tragic boating accident on the USS Tragic in the Accident Sea.

tragic, that.

Seems like we folks have a propensity for loss, as mine were lost off the Maine coast while spending time with my future in-laws (they lost theirs in another accident on Lake Superior)

Perhaps we preppers should avoid aquattic adventures.

Just sayin....

I doubt that the rioting in Philadelphia right now is creating the experts that will be explaining how to purify water, handle personal sanitation, solar equipment, generators, storing fuel, canning and shelf life of foods, and so on for us next month.

It has spread to Philadelphia already?

You have a lot to learn Claude before you start dispensing advice to the rest of us. If you follow most of the advice in your article you will be in the first die off. LOL!

All of the above. That’s why so much information is bad. Too many people with ZERO experience in a disaster who think they can recommend a one size fits all approach. That doesn’t work.

No, I never said that. But having gone through a disaster myself, all of the things I did to prepare which were touted by so-called experts were a complete waste of time and money. So I learned from my mistakes and the first mistake was listening to people who had no real experience. These so-called experts were people simply repeating things that had been told to them or what they read.

Not silly at all. You have never been through an actual disaster. If you had, you would appreciate what I’m saying.
