William F. Buckley recounted a story about an old woman who asked her priest if dogs would be in Heaven. The priest allowed as how they wouldn’t.
The old woman cried, “Oh, but I just couldn’t be happy without my precious Foofoo.”
After a bit of thought, the priest said, “If that is true, then Foofoo will be there, because one thing of which we are certain is that we will be happy in Heaven.”
