Electing Cruz will be like electing Reagan, not recovery but respite. We will get a few years of breathing easier and then it will all collapse under our feet. Actual recovery of the Constitutional Republic requires at a minimum the complete elimination of ALL departments and agencies in the Federal Government other than the original four Cabinet Departments without further remuneration of all the fired employees and without moving the functions of those departments into the remaining ones.
Required concomitantly is the ending of all social spending and all federal connection of the government to insurance and medicine in any way. And a tax system that, should the income tax remain, must be by Constitutional amendment no more than 9% of earned income and no deductions or exemptions or adjustments of any kind.
Then we would have a start on the road to recovery.
