Indiana's Religious Freedom Restoration Act, Explained
Weekly Standard ^ | Mar 27, 2015 | John McCormack

Is the Religious Freedom Restoration Act really a license to discriminate against gay people?

No. Stanford law professor Michael McConnell, a former appellate court judge, tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD in an email: "In the decades that states have had RFRA statutes, no business has been given the right to discriminate against gay customers, or anyone else."

The point of RFRA is not to discriminate against gay Americans. It is supposed to prevent the government from discriminating against religious Americans.

Not to worry—The law will be fixed to allow the government to discriminate against religious Americans.

We need to reclaim the word “discriminate”. Sports events discriminate against the unathletic, beauty pageants against the plain, academic tests against the dull. In a free country people should be able to discriminate against people whose behavior they consider immoral, especially when they are being asked to participate in that immoral behavior, for example by photographing a “gay wedding”.

When I photographed weddings there were several I turned down; I felt the party and I were not a match to do business. Never did I think it would involve a lawsuit.

The thin-skinned knee-jerk liberals have changed this with a path paved by attorneys.

Pence can kiss any talk of running for POTUS goodbye. Every conservative talkie was busy defending it and his decision then he vacilates to the godless sodomites who’ve declared war on Christianity. Proves he’s no crusader for conservativism.
I’m tired of vacilation to the godless sodomites and their god denying democrat (in name only) party supporters who’ve through the guileful use of “political correctness” have declared war particularly on Christianity as well most religions . Who want us to goose step surrendering to their tune called “political correctness” (Lyrics set to March on the River Quey/s) played by the Obama Politcorrey Police band.

We need crusaders for conservativism not capitulators.

There is no more fundamental human right than the right to freely choose with whom we will associate. The freedom to choose with whom we will deal and trade. If we are not free to freely choose with whom we associate, then there is no freedom. Yes, we have the right to discriminate based on race, color, creed, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexual proclivity, political persuasion, looks, astrological sign or whatever.
What kind of person would want others to be forced under penalty of law to deal with them? If anybody chooses not to associate for me socially or commercially I respect their decision. It is their right. No hard feeling, no animosity, hatred or ill will.
The only way that a large and increasingly diverse nation can survive is for people to be free to associate as they choose. Coercing people to associate against their will only lead to resentment, animosity and increased friction between groups. Force is an ugly and destructive thing. Peace and social harmony can only come from respecting the rights of others.
If we have to always resort to “religious freedom”, then we won’t even have that much longer. So small and cowardly. What makes anybody think that this one, lone right will be respected when every other fundamental right has been eroded away? Religious rights will become the obvious target. We need to stand up for our rights and for freedom. If people are not free to choose with whom they will associate and trade, why should they be free to worship as they choose?

If a business owner does not want to serve homosexuals, why does he have to?

Name one single elected person who has stood up and told the homosexuals “no” about anything.

Homosexuality Explained

1. You are a homosexual if:

A. You pet puppies.
B. You hold hands with someone by the fire.
C. You help old ladies across the street.
D. You are a male and you invite another male to put his penis in your mouth or anal canal until he ejaculates.

2. You are a homosexual if:

A. You like art.
B. You enjoy a good cup of coffee.
C. You have a friend who is a homosexual.
D. You are a female and you have another female sexually stimulate your vagina.

Homosexuals define themselves by their behavior. No male is born with another male’s penis in his mouth. You have to perform the physical act in order to be a homosexual.
