In short: no. Just no. In fact, it could very well be the most horrific idea of the last ten years. Yes, that includes Obamacare and the presidents plans to negotiate with the Islamonazis in Iran.
Whittle says that he considers voting a civic duty, but I disagree with that. Its a civic privilege. Weve made a major mistake in the West in both Europe and America by allowing people who live on the dole to vote. General voting rights without any requirements except for being a citizen have enabled the lazy and incompetent to live entirely off of people who actually try to be successful and take care of their families. Considering mans natural inclination to do as little as possible to get by, it isnt exactly illogical that most Western countries have become social democracies, if not downright socialist.

How about 6 year olds? They could click on a picture of their favorite candidate on a smart phone.
How about dogs voting? Wherever the dog does his business, the vote is cast for that candidate (Of course the Dems will insist that the D candidates have pictures that are 10 times bigger than R candidates.
How about cartoon characters voting? Isn't that how Obama won?
Not too bad of an idea. Any 16 year old picked at random would be better suited to running a country.
You need to think out of the box more. Let's say a 10 year old kid goes into a store. He must pay a tax on whatever he buys. Therefore, it is only fair that a 10 year old should be able to vote for those who impose those taxes.
My proposal: If you can make your way into a store (even by toddling in), you should be able to vote, and hold office for those you vote for.
And anyone who disagrees must hate children, or democracy, or both.
:)
Don’t forget letting illegal aliens to vote! They pay sales tax, too! We already have an illegal alien president.
LOL. Good catch.
Thank you for referencing that video Michael van der Galien. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at Mr. Whittle and not at you.
I admire Mr. Whittle. But with all due respect to Mr. Whittle, he missed the perfect opportunity to mention the ill-conceived 17th Amendment (17A), state lawmakers foolishly surrendering the voices of state lawmakers in Congress to inexperienced voters by ratifying that amendment, effectively repealing the whole Constitution by doing so imo.
In fact, not only did the corrupt feds establish unconstitutional Obamacare without the necessary constitutional authority to do so as a consequence of 17A imo, but with all due respect to Constitution-respecting justices, there would probably all different faces on the Supreme Court at this time if 17A had never been ratified.
The 17th Amendment needs to disappear.
ESQUIRE magazine had such a story back around 1968. It was later made into a movie WILD IN THE STREETS.
