Boston Globe Editorial to Sen. Warren: Run for President, Please
Boston Globe | 3/22/2015 | Boston Globe Editors

Posted on 03/22/2015 12:28:14 PM PDT by RightGeek

DEMOCRATS WOULD be making a big mistake if they let Hillary Clinton coast to the presidential nomination without real opposition, and, as a national leader, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren can make sure that doesn’t happen. While Warren has repeatedly vowed that she won’t run for president herself, she ought to reconsider. And if Warren sticks to her refusal, she should make it her responsibility to help recruit candidates to provide voters with a vigorous debate on her signature cause, reducing income inequality, over the next year.

That's red meat for FR, but here's the Granny Warren the journ-0-lists will sell to the voters:

She is a nonentity. No one is pining for her leadership.

So if anyone writes a story claiming that they believe the country needs her “leadership”, you know they are a paid hack. Because no one believes it, including the people claiming to believe it.

What’s with this Democrat narrative that Hillary needs a primary opponent? It sounds like these Democrats support Hillary, but, at the same time, want their favorite candidate to be challenged in the primaries??? What the heck??? Do they want Hillary or not?

Why have no Democrats stepped forward yet? Are they that afraid of the Clintons that they are afraid to run for president in the primaries against her????

So on the one hand,,Democrats want Hillary, but on the other hand, the Democrats who would provide primary campaigns are afraid to run, for fear of getting on the Clintons bad side?????

These people will never go away until the population stops envying others and subscribing to an adolescent, psychotic, absolutely unhealthy political point of view that’s straight from the Communist Manifesto.

IMHO

I’d say she has a 1/32th of a chance.

Curious, what was your odds on a guy from Kenya named Baraq Hussein in March of 2007?

We need there to be choices in the Democratic primaries. Otherwise, those who would've voted in a Democrat's primary will "vote for the worst" in the Republican primary. And we'll be stuck with Jeb vs hillary.

So, for now, embrace that inner love you feel for Ms. Warren

<^..^>

That’s true.

My thoughts in March 07 were probably something like ..”what’s a barrack”

Yep. I remember being in HS, and seeing the blurb in the paper about the governor of Georgia running for president.

I commented to my father something as "Yeah right. Who's going vote for him outside of GA?"

I seriously underestimated the Watergate effect, and many other trite but true sayings.

Good point.

Maybe the majority of Americans actually wants to live under Communism. Certainly seems like it, some days. Most days, in fact.

So the Boston Globe editorial board held a pow-wow to see whether they should support a Warren bid?

As long as the gravy flows for the Entitlement Army and the Crony Capitalists, Dems can get lots of votes.

As soon as they get what they want, the Democrats will be cutting waaay back on the gravy supply. Anyone who doesn't like it will be going up the chimney.

It's happened before. History can repeat.
