Jeb Bush knocks Scott Walker’s presumed ‘frontrunner’ status

HUDSON, N.H. -- Frontrunner? What frontrunner?

That was Jeb Bush's message to reporters who tried asking him on Friday about Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. Like Bush, Walker is sitting atop early presidential primary in this state and among Republicans nationally. And, like Bush, Walker was launching his first New Hampshire trip in years on Friday.

A reporter pressed Bush on whether he agreed with Walker, who said this week that maybe he's "the frontrunner" because President Obama decided to weigh in this week on Wisconsin leader's decision to sign right-to-work legislation.

"I'm not a candidate, maybe he is, I don't know," Bush said in response. "You can't be a frontrunner until you start running."

Don’t run Jeb
If you do we’ll have to hold you to a higher standard, one that you cannot meet

That's pretty lame isn't it?

If the rest of us have any degree of luck, Bush will maintain his non-candidacy for at least four decades.

Note to Bush’s researchers:

Nothing, I repeat, nothing, will cause me to vote for Bush. If the Ayatollah is his opponent he is not getting my vote.

“....Bush’s first political visit to New Hampshire in 15 years drew dozens of local and national media. He proclaimed his visit to Integra as “the coolest tour I think I ever had,” but was more circumspect about his prospective White House campaign.

“I’m joyfully pursuing the possibility of this and I will decide at some point, and then I’ll go at it,” he said, ignoring the massive campaign fundraising that’s taking place on his behalf.

In an attempt to portray himself as more electable than his rivals, Bush reiterated his support for mainstreaming illegal immigrants — a stance that has drawn heat from hard-line conservatives in his party.

“The best plan, the most realistic plan, the grown-up plan, once you control the border ... is to say, ‘Let these folks achieve, earn legal status,’” Bush said during a business roundtable at Integra. “If we just keep people in the shadows, we’re not going to solve our immigration problems.”

Bush also embraced the so-called Common Core State Standards Initiative, which dictates public school education and math requirements. He said the standards are needed and described a scenario where without them, students could receive a high school diploma, yet still fail entrance tests for community colleges.

“Who’s fooling who?” Bush asked. “Do we feel good about this? Are we that concerned about our self-esteem?”

He suggested his position on Common Core may be unpopular among some Republicans, but it’s also more mature, and hence more likely to attract mainstream voters....”

I have no doubt that if either Walker or Cruz wins the nomination the GOPe will not endorse them. It will be a repeat of 1964 when the Rockefeller/Scranton wing refused to endorse Goldwater.

Delusional. Democrats don’t like you, though they now pretend to for their own strategy. Conservatives don’t want you. “Independents” will never vote for a third Bush. That leaves the elite Washington republican RINO’s, which don’t amount to much.

A lot of money and support is lining up behind Walker very quickly.

Jeb is realizing that Walker could be more formidable than his team realized.

I love it when a RINO underestimates a true conservative!

Our enemy is the GOPe first and foremost. We must defeat the McCains, Grahams and JEBs of the party before we can attempt to take on the marxists in the regime

That is exactly what I mean! Nobody did this to Romney early in the process. Nobody undercut his political support even though Romney was, like Bush, way back in the polls.

Walker has managed to step in front of Jeb and gain the support that Jeb needs if he is ever to get out of single digits.

The good news is that we could see Jeb leave the campaign earlier than expected.

Terri Schiavo had no comment, having died as a result of Jeb Bush’s moral cowardice.

He won’t even get a majority of the votes of those who support illegal immigration. Even those folks know the democrats are prepared to up their giveaways to infinity.
