They likely queried students that matriculated from other states...lol.

Schools don't teach history like they used to. We were in a discussion about Obama's executive orders, as if this was not that big a deal. Then I asked them, anyone ever heard of the Supreme Court ruling in Korematsu v. US? Blank stares all around. It gave them a different perspective on the topic after reading about the case.

The problem is nationwide. You could have gone on nearly any campus and found similar ignorance.

Schools are no longer about education. They are about indoctrination.

Yes, Texas ranks right down there with the best of them. Starts somewhere in Texas public schools around the middle or high school level. They are taught and learn only whats on the test to graduate.

But to be fair, the questions were a bit racist (see disclaimer below) and their significance never taught to the millennials. The interviewer should have ask them a more relevant question such as when do we celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

BTW They always ask my generation who was buried in Grant's tomb. Guess what, some of us (like Joe Biden, maybe) did not know the correct answer.

So next time, ask them who is buried in the tomb of the unknown soldier. Sadly, a few will fail to know the correct answer. But if they concentrate, it'll come to them.

Yes, these are our leaders of tomorrow. Yes, we are so screwed. Beam me up Scottie.

DISCLAIMER: No Asians were questioned or harmed in these interviews. /s
