Not too many posts, so excuse me if I didn't get it 100%.

A Democrat, Republican and Libertarian were walking down a path.
"Help! Help!" shouted the man from the bottom of a 20-ft hole.
"What's the problem?" asked the three atop who heard his pleas.
"I dug this deep hole and now, I'm stuck at the bottom."

"Here," roared the Democrat, "I'll help.",
'invested' $100 he taxed from the Libertarian,
gave his buddy, the ladder maker, $25
pocketed $50
got a 'deal' on a 3-ft step ladder from his buddy,
and threw the ladder into the hole.

"That won't work," squeaked the Republican who
'invested' $75 he 'borrowed' from the Libertarian,
gave his buddy, the ladder maker, $25
pocketed $25
bought an 8-ft ladder,
and threw the ladder in the hole.

"What'd you dig the hole with?" asked the Libertarian.
"This shovel," replied the man in the hole.
"Why don't you use the shovel and dig steps, and simply walk out?" the Libertarian offered.
"What? That's all you're going to do?" shouted the man in the hole, "At least the other two tried to help!"

A perfect analogy of our current system, and why it will/has been so hard to change....until we stop digging holes and/or change those offering 'assistance'.

A liberal, a conservative, and a libertarian are walking down the street and come upon a beggar. "Hey, guv'nor. Got a few bucks for a hot meal?" the beggar asks.

Conservative: "I've got something better than that." He takes out a pen and a business card. "Clean yourself up and go to this address tomorrow morning and I'll give you a job."

Liberal: "Why, that's terrible! You must be the victim of an unequal, oppressive class system." He runs after the conservative, mugs him, steals $100, keeps 90 of it and gives 10 to the bum and says "Don't worry. There's more where that came from."

Libertarian: "Not my problem, bud," he says and keeps walking.

Yes, that’s the myopic view of (L) most have (Hmmm, I wonder if the 2 party cartel gang-up may have any founding of those baseless accusations?).

In your instance, yes, the Liberal would do nothing to actually help, the (C) would still be feckless and meek, but the (L) would not stand by to watch the Rights (assault and theft...especially by govt) of the (C) in that way: It WOULD be his problem.
