Nice language.
lol.
Has some truth in there.
Why does every kids show have to focus on characters trying to be a star? It is ridiculous.
Farming - illegals

My daughters 17 year old boyfriend is an “artist”. Three of my nephews (all under 30) are “artists” My 65 year old brother in law and his wife have been “artists” for 40+ years and have NO retirement. My niece is a musician and writes music. None of which has ever sold. All of the above struggle financially. Pathetic.
My daughter bought her own car for 3K...dodged the masses and propaganda in the college herding going on (said she did not want a heavy debt).
Ended up in a humble community college getting certified in welding
Works in a sushi bar at night.
Jews have been involved in the arts in great numbers—from classical music to Hollywood—before your typical non-Jewish white kids ever were.
Re. “artists” - I married into a family of “artists”. They are incapable of understanding “start at the bottom, work hard, improve yourself, work your way up”. I’ve tried to explain it to them but it’s no use and then of course they are all Democratic sheep certain that the system is against them.
Sounds like you raised her right, I bought my own house around the same time other women my age were spending their days and nights getting drunk at their Junior year in college.
i went to a tech school and worked my way through college, got all my college loans paid off just a few years after leaving college. In a FAR better position in my 30’s than any of my over educated...umm indoctrinated peers.
Nonsense. They want to work but... they are displaced by illegals who work for lower wages. This effectively has undercut decent paying employment since the boss will prefer to hire cheaper labor. Simple economics. Now if only we lived in a county that would enforce its own immigration laws & stop trying to grant amnesty to those who broke the law when they arrived in an illegal manner.
Was that a screed or something?
Does she weld during the day?
I understand skilled welders make pretty good money.
Then, get a job. Pay the bills.
Finally, once that's all settled, you have the rest of your life AND the financial resources to pursue whatever you want in your spare time. Musician? Great. Artist? Be the next Picasso. Middle Eastern Medieval Literature? You can become a world-renowned expert.
"Starving Artist" is overrated. Especially the "starving" part.
My stepdaughter fits this to a T. She’s in her 3rd year as a “theater arts” major and it still doesn’t seem to occur her that ooooh, college is supposed to be about learning to do something that will FEED you.
Hopefully, she’ll learn. The rest of us did.
Reality is a cold bucket of water to the face. :-)
Who knows-—she may be the next Meryl Streep.
The movie “Whiplash” is about a kid who wants to be a drummer-—much to the dismay of his father.
Kids !!! :-)
.
still in training-she is doing Tig Rig now and I hear about half way through they come in the class looking 4 workers. I told her she can be an accountant, lawyer, fashion designer etc...on her time but she needs to move out and get her own place. Yes welders can start at 20 bucks while learning then advance rapidly. never out of jobs. She will probably train to become a welding inspector.
