David Carr the New York Times media critic has died. He was found in the Times office at 9 PM Thursday night. Those who knew him say he looked ghastly in his last several days. Published accounts of his life tell us Carr was a drug addict who was not to be trusted to tell the truth.
Drug addicts in Carrs close circle suspect he returned to his voracious appetite for cocaine. One who was identified by the site Gotnews.com made this comment about his friend David, If he was going to casinos [with .] and watching hundreds of thousands of dollars get made and lost, he was at a level of hedonism that definitely involved cocaine. He went back on coke and had a heart attack. I just know it. Us old coke heads remember doing lines and when we do them after a 10 year absence, the heart cant handle it.
If there ever was somebody who is one of them it was David Carr. He was a vigorous defender of Brian Williams and Jackie Coakley the fake rape victim at the University of Virginia; and he attacked the investigative blogger who dragged her lies into the light of day.
Carr was a deliberate liar who falsified a story he inserted into his obituary of Andrew Breitbart. He wrote that Breitbart joined with...

In before the “Well, bye...” pic.
A photo I saw of Carr, he looked like death warmed over. I think he was in very poor health. And given his history...
I thought this was about that football player, but it was someone even less worthy of attention
When I was younger, I subscribed to the NY Times. I learned to skip the front pages and search through the back ones for an occasional real story. There was no internet then to tell you about those things, and TV certainly didn’t.
They even had some good theater and movie critics back then, whom you could trust.
No more. I haven’t read the Times for decades.
For a while, my wife bought an occasional copy, and I used it to light the wood stove with. But she stopped doing that years ago.
Wow. This is a vicious, nasty article.
And the Breitbart reference? Note that Breitbart.com has republished Carr’s obituary of Breitbart as a tribute to Carr, calling it “exceptional.” If they’re OK with what he wrote about Breitbart, that’s OK by me too.
exactly the heart couldn’t handle it. how old was he BTW?
Nasty vicious NYT writer...May have had a does of HIV too, sure looks it
Carr was a pathetic douchebag who hated America and what it stands for. Good riddance.
Except he wasn’t. He was one of the only MSM writer who took a pretty even hand with conservatives and conservative media.
Looked like the last stages of AIDS.
Pray America is waking
According to the article he was not very balanced.
Oh OK sorry
He was no conservative himself, and I found myself disagreeing with nearly everything he wrote, but that doesn't make him nasty or unworthy of respect.
RIP, Mr. Carr.
He looks older than 58.
.
My wrist is bigger than that neck. AIDS.
Media critic for the Slimes....says it all. Bad, bad week for the libs.
I never heard of this guy but why does this revelation not surprise me? He's a liberal. They are lying losers from every example I can find. And held up in high esteem by the left.
But when I read the headline on Drudge, I clicked on the link to see who he was. The photos the NYSlime ran of this guy led me to believe he died of the dreaded "Pencil Neck Syndrome" where you're neck is not large enough to allow the proper blood flow to your brain so you can think clearly. It's obvious that he didn't die of a heart attack but of a brain attack from too many drugs in his body and too much liberal ideology crammed into his brain. (Alert: Tongue deeply into my cheek)
