Jeremiah Wright: "God Damn America" Obama's pastor and church for 20 years.
In his own words: Barack Obama on Christianity and Islam
1. The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam
2. The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer
3. We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world including in my own country.
4. As a student of history, I also know civilizations debt to Islam.
5. Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.
6. Islam has always been part of America
7. we will encourage more Americans to study in Muslim communities
8. These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islams role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings.
9. America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.
..............RUSH [Limbaugh]: "I tell you, folks. I have always had... I don't care whose held the office, I've had the highest reverence for the office. One of the things that... Maybe I'm foolish. One of the things I have always believed... No matter the political party of the president, I've always believed that the person sitting in that office has as his first objective the defense and protection of this country and the Constitution.
I've assumed also that the person sitting in that office and in that chair loves this country. Not to say he doesn't have problems with it, not to say that perfect. But when I hear sound bites like this, or when I listen 'em myself or when I hear other people talking about Barack Obama, it's really difficult for me to sometimes come to grips with the fact we're talking about the president! It'd be one thing if it was just a senator out there saying these things and doing these things.
But we're talking about the president, as though it's perfectly normal and understandable that we would have a president who doesn't have a high regard for this country. It's just part and parcel. I just can't come to grips. I just can't believe that people would have actually elected the guy knowing that they were electing somebody who didn't hold this country in high regard, and it just seems like it's par for the course and very common that we've got a president elected who says and does things like Obama.
As though that's nothing really unique or special.
To me it is. I just... You know, I hear Bishop Jackson here talking about, "The president does everything possibly he can to defend Islam and does nothing to defend the honor of this country." I can't think of a president we would ever talk about where that would be asserted. Now, I wasn't alive during Woodrow Wilson, so he's the last full-fledged... Well, but he was a huge liberal. Don't misunderstand. Woodrow Wilson a huge liberal. Even FDR, for crying out loud. Nobody would ever mistake FDR for somebody that thought this country had a price to pay for its very existence, like Obama apparently does."
Yeah, a defensive war to prevent the extortion, murder and harassment of Christian pilgrims and to regain the native sovereignty of an area from Muslim invaders equals what the ISIS thugs do
Got it, yep really equivalent
“It’s difficult-almost impossible-to believe the president and his staff didn’t anticipate the reaction his words would generate. The question, then, is why he picked this particular fight.”
Because Obama wasn’t really speaking to the West or to Christians. He was speaking to the Middle East.
Islam still has a real thing about the Crusades.
He knew his words would be reported all over the world and that Muslims would say, “Yeah! Damn right!”
This speech was a shout out to the Muslims of the world.
He doesn’t care how the West reacts to his lecture.
Star Parker spoke briefly to Mark Levin about Obama’s speech at the prayer breakfast which she attended. Maybe the FR Levin thread covered it, but briefly here’s what I caught:
The PB had a very broad range of attendees including very many from abroad. Christians, Jews, and Muslims, and others.
Obama’s entrance was received with only polite curtesy, audience rising and a very brief quiet clapping.
As Obama progressed into the “high horse”. Many mouths dropped in disbelief.
On Obama’s finish, as Star Parker related, only the majority of the white Christian contingent rose and applauded, the rest remained seated and silent.
Will check Parker’s and Levin’s page for more, as he could only give her a short amount of time.
What will come of this speech? Hard to say, but unlike Obama’s other mistakes smothered and obscured by the msm, this one will get broader reactions at the fundamental level as the attendees return to their congregations.
Weekend comments from pulpits should prove interesting regarding this latest Molotov cocktail.
As usually, Rush articulates what I Was thinking. And thus my anger at Republicans. They know this, and do nothing. I had to come to grips with the fact that they like what Obama is doing.
IMO the speech he gave were the rants of a mentally ill mind! He’s loosing it !
I agree.
Valerie Jarrett must have written that speech!
More likely,he continues, he’s trying to counter the view-held by Limbaugh and others-that the US is at war with Islam as a whole.........
But America IS NOT at war with Islam.
Islam IS at war with America and Western Civilization.
We SHOULD BE at war with Islam but America has no leadership and just flounders along in this regard..
ping
Some day that arrogant phony bastard will drown if he keeps his snout in the air like he does.
Chauncey? Reice? Who names these people, the same who name kids Ladasha, Kayne)?
Excellent!!!
I have had requests from other freepers to “steal” that one. That always warms my heart.
It’ s pretty Edgy but it tells the tale!
Okay, in case you never hear this from Obama, here is what muslims say when we arent around, this is what they REALLY think, in their own words:
