Insurance to be canceled over 'Christ' on car

The United Kingdom, like much of the rest of Western Europe, is in the midst of committing cultural suicide because of their overly tolerant policies towards radical Muslims and the Islamic faith.

Due to hate speech legislation, Christians are being persecuted for speaking out against the dangers of radical Islam, resulting in people being arrested or losing their jobs.

Apparently, being an outspoken Christian in the U.K. can even get you dropped from your car insurance coverage now too.

Rev. Wena Parry recently told the BBC in Wales that she is being treated unfairly and discriminated against by her car insurance provider, Age UK Insurance, simply because of her religious faith.

Parry has placed custom-made stickers on her car that proclaim “Christ is my Lord,” and other similar phrases expressing her faith in the Gospel. “Every opportunity I have I want to tell people about Jesus,” she said.

“I reckon there must at least a million people who have read the texts on my car and no one has had a problem with it before,” she added. “There might be somebody within that company that hates Christianity.”

However, Age UK Insurance recently told the 76-year old pastor that they never would have insured her vehicle if they had been made aware of the statement she was making with her stickers (H/T Right Wing News).

The company only became aware of the stickers after Parry filed a claim for damages suffered at the hands of thieves. She sent in pictures of the damage that also clearly showed the stickers.

The insurers promptly informed Parry that she had 10 days to remove the stickers, or else “the policy may be declared void.”

The letter from the insurance company went on to declare, “These modifications do not fit our acceptance criteria for motor insurance,” and, “Cover would have been declined if we had been made aware of these at the time of purchasing your policy.”

For their part, the insurance company claims religion had nothing to do with their decision to threaten to drop the coverage of the pastor’s vehicle, and Parry has already found another insurance company that was more than happy to take her business, Christian stickers and all.

In reality, this comes down to one of two things: Perhaps the insurance company is bowing to the will of the growing Muslim population in the U.K. and is seeking to avoid offending them in any way.

Or, what is more likely the case, this comes down to the simple economics of risk calculation.

Insurance companies don’t like paying out claims, and they may be making the calculated decision that Parry’s stickers increase the chance that her vehicle will be damaged by angry offended Muslims, putting her into a “high-risk” category.

Whatever the insurance companies reasoning may be, they have certainly lost Rev. Parry’s business.

The fact that she has gone public with what the company did to her only means that more Christians will likely drop their policies with the same company now that they know exactly how they feel about Christians expressing their faith.

Yeah ... if I went into a Muslim area with Mohammed cartoons painted on my car ... I would expect I wouldn’t have a working and viable car after leaving it in a parking lot ... LOL ...

I certainly wouldn’t want to “insure” a car like that ... because it would be a guaranteed LOSS! ... :-) ...

I wonder what their reasonable explanation is for dropping her, or threatening to
drop her insurance. Another thing is that they are required to have insurance so
what does the government there say about Insurance companies selecting those
they perceive as (enter bigoted statement here), when the Gov requires by law they
have insurance.

The outcome should be interesting to watch.

The insurance company is afraid her car would be vandalized and they'd then have to pay ... ps, I love that "Gun Control Is Not Kosher" ... maybe that insurance company is antisemitic as well ...

Gun Control is very Kosher. Doesn’t God want us to always be “straight shooters” in our lives? Well, that includes shooting straight too. You can’t do that without a gun (David-style sling-shots are only single-shot jobs. Not very effective against a bunch of robbers or your local jihadists).

Wasn’t the lead singer of Guns & Moses named Axel Rosen? Moses played backup guitar.

I remember Axel telling Moses to “stop beating around the (Rose) bush” because it might have “thorns”. Inspired him to write a song about it.

I think I just killed rock music lyrics, forever!

As long as they honor the terms of their policy in effect, insurers can drop an insured for any reason or (what would seem to be) no reason at all.

LOL - years back my dad took me to visit the mother of the Guns and Roses bass player. Neat lady, lived in an assisted living place. Had to bring her a half gallon of Canadian whisky (spelled that way) ....

the insurance company if not hypocrtical, given what they appear to know about muslim, better not have any muslims insured by themselves.

Y’all do see the implications here, right?

Think about those ‘reward’ cards at various grocery chains...the same ones that track your purchases. The same chains that sell that data to 3rd-parties...3rd-parties that may someday include insurance companies (to say nothing of the gubmint)...

...insurance companies that may not like what you’re buying for your household and may jack your medical and/or life insurance rates, or cancel you altogether.

Oh, yeah...that ‘smart’ fridge they’re talking about? ‘Smart’ meters?? Black box mileage tracker on the car???

Who would ever have thought we’d see ONE, let alone a steady stream of stories about elementary students being berated for their parents’ decision for their lunch.

Uh-huh...it’s trending already.

I wouldn't jump quite so far in that direction. There are many types of stickers one can put on a car that attract attention and may lead to vandalism of the car.

In this instance, they were Christian stickers and the obvious perps would be muslims in the UK, but here in the good old USA I allow no stickers at all on my car, with the exception of parking stickers which allow me to use various parking lots. I don't like these, but the people who issued them seem to have no idea that anything which makes a car stand out compromises your security and safety.

Does the insurance company ban all stickers, only Christian ones, or only "custom" ones?

* * * * * *

In my rural neck of the woods, it is common and popular to have NRA stickers, and ones which proclaim your elk or deer hunting abilities. Drive down to the SF Bay area, and a PETA person will vandalize your car without a second thought, and believe that it is the moral thing to do -- saving the animals and such.

If that PETA person drives up here with a sticker on his car a couple of rednecks are liable to have a serious discussion with him in a dark alley.
