New GOP Border Security Bill Removes Border Fences
DailyCaller.com ^ | 01/21/2015 | NEIL MUNRO

The new border bills drafted by Republican leaders require the actual removal of at least 66 miles of weak border fencing between Mexico and the United States.

The border bills also only require for the construction of 27 miles of effective double-layer fencing along the 2,000-mile border.

“It is a remarkable that the direction of our progress is going backwards, from a goal of building 700 miles of double-layer border fencing [in 2006] to only 27 miles [in 2015],” said a Hill staffer who opposes the leaders’ bills.

“Where the double-layer fence has been put in, it has worked spectacularly. The public is with us 80, 90 percent on this issue,” he added.

Extra fencing would be a waste of money, according to Texas Rep. Michael McCaul, chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security.

Perhaps wallbanging is the only appropriate response now.

Logic, precedent and common good sense have all been traded or given away, now we have the Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers in charge.

With commentary by Abbot & Costello.

The GOP is not our friend. You’d think people would figure this out by now.

People were warned over and over and they freely chose this.

I hope they all lose all their toys to the invaders their GOP votes enabled.

Toys, houses, cars...everything.

Because they deserve to.

Why is anybody surprised by this?? The southern border with Mexico is where 90% of the controlled substances not available by prescription come from. At least 3 out of 4 police officers around the country is employed in the name of the War on Drugs, 2/3 of our Courthouses are for the War on Drugs, what about the DEA, and a whole assortment of government agencies solely committed to the War on Drugs.

If we actually had REAL Border Security, 80% of ALL GOVERNMENT would not be needed anymore. What will these people do? All they know is the War on Drugs, how will the CIA get their funding?? WHo would we give weapons to if we didn’t have the cartel’s? Do you think we will abandon the Police State we have created?? Civil Asset Forfeiture??

we are talking about MILLIONS of Government employees becoming unemployed overnight. You Can Not have a War on Drugs without Drugs. We need this WAR ON DRUGS more than most people will admit to themselves.

THE BORDER WILL NEVER BE CLOSED, way too much Money and Power for Government to just WIN by Closing the Border.

Extra fencing would be a waste of money, according to Texas Rep. Michael McCaul, chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security.

A waste of money because the GOPe and Dems weren't actually planning on catching them as they cross the border. A fence without a guard just slows down those here to drive down the low end wages for the Chamber of Cronies. And you don't want your new illegal workers tired from climbing when they get here. < /banging head into wall>

We are being governed by corrupt fools, and that may be the most charitable description.

Totally nailed it.

Secure the border, the drug and gang problem vanishes virtually overnight.

The prison-law enforcement industrial complex has spoken.
