According to Box Office Mojo, American Sniper is trouncing Selma. I used only domestic figures since the foreign data was unavailable for Selma.

American Sniper => $93,630,000; wide release date => January 16, 2015

Selma => $25,964,000; wide release date => January 9, 2015
