A smart person with access to the posters for this movie would roll them up and stick them in their attic. They’ll be pretty rare, I’m thinking. In 20 years maybe theyre worth something.

This reeks of Zero not wanting to upset a fellow commie. I do not think the Norks were behind this in any way. Zero has coddled all of our enemies.

I am starting to believe that it was a publicity stunt by Sony. With all this they have the makings of a sequel playing out in the press.

I think we would be in very deep doo-doo if we can’t get the truth out of this administration, or the FBI, or the Pentagon, or DHS, or....

“I have had ‘people’ tell me they were American born, schooled, as their parents were and start spelling with a u where we don’t put them - armour, labour etc etc and using the term ‘flat’, ‘hostel’ (in a casual way - not trying to show how ‘worldly’ they are).”

Yeah, but look at early 20th century American horror author H.P. Lovecraft, a hardcore Anglophile; you can read any of his stories and it jumps right off the page at you, along with a good many uses of obsolete British spellings in his stories as well.

I was actually really looking forward to this movie. It’s a great concept and looked funny as hell.

Most likely NK took their cue from Iran, who hacked into that casino early this year because the company head made alot of anti-Iran and pro-Isreal statements.

I don’t think the movie was going to be a flop. It was one of the few Christmas movies that I actually wanted to see-—and I despise Seth Rogan.

What would be the political payoff for that operation?

There are plenty of people capable of doing this, but if you can’t show motive, then they aren’t going to make the list of prime suspects.

I don’t think it was Sony because of the leaked inflammatory race emails. They wouldn’t rain that kind of hell on themselves.

If Sony did do this, it's resulted in a class-action suit brought forth by their employees whose identities are now ripe for the picking. I tend to think Sony is the victim of a hacking but I'm not sure who is behind it. I'll say this, never in my lifetime have I ever been so weary from crisis after crisis since Bozo took office. That fact leads me to believe Bozo has his hand in here, somewhere. Perhaps it's designed to make us all weary enough to accept more 'protection' from Uncle Sam. If that is the intent behind everything, Bozo seriously underestimates true American grit.

At some point and I sincerely hope Ted Cruz is at the helm, there's going to be a big, 'get outta the way while we put an end to this crap'.

Or to the movie studio that passed on the Michelle and Barack first date movie.

Sony made terrorist threats against the chains that they depend upon to promote a throw away movie? In the process, they release thousands of social security numbers and private information on employees, and leak 4 upcoming films they do care about?

Wow, who knew that Seth Rogan was such a powerhouse for the studio that they’d expose Sony to tens of billions in losses if this supposed truth ever came out. Not to mention real jail time.

No, I do not believe Sony was behind this. Wired’s indications it wasn’t a nation state actually gives more credence that it was North Korea - most of their hacking is script kiddie in nature. They use the exploits that others find, their hackers are individualistic and troll the undernet, they use sites with high bandwidth outside of N Korea, and frequently demand ransom. Hacktavists rarely make physical threats, where as the North Koreans almost always do.

Could it be someone else? Possibly - but doubtful. The personal data was worth millions in black market sales, the stolen movies could easily have been ransomed, and the threats pretty much assured that governments would pull all stops to backtrack the data. Russians are in it for the money, Chinese for power, Iranian hackers destroy.

I don’t know about these things but I would think that there would some kind of insurance policy for things like this. That could be the reason Sony went this route to at least make their investment back. Just a thought.

The Israelis did it. Don’t ask me why, but it seems that this was more of an attack on the administration than of Sony. We were cyberattacked and Bama hasn’t uttered a word.

That is exactly what I thought too. Publicity stunt. The movie was going to bomb. Now release it on DVD and everyone will want to see it.
