"How could anyone possibly ascribe factual intent to mere ideas?"

I don't know. I just don't understand wanting to nominate a person based on gender. I know the dems think that way, but it makes no sense to me. Maybe we have a woman somewhere who can be a good president. If that is the case and she proves herself, I would be inclined to lend support based on ability and strength. But I don't see anyone with the tools emerging.

The reason I say that is because I think the last 5 presidents have proven that having executive experience is a must to be able to do the job well. Reagan, Clinton and "W" had that background and were good at the job. "41" and Obama show that just being good at politics and campaigning isn't the full compliment of talents. Except Sarah and Susana Martinez in NM, I don't know of any women with exec experience. The media has done a great job of giving the public a poor image of Sarah. Maybe they wouldn't get away with that kind of slander concerning Martinez because of her latina status.

For those of us who can read between the lines, this is a sure indication that Gov Palin is ready to embrace her destiny as the next POTUS

How about Sara vs. Hildabeast?

I’d love to see that! Sara would tear Hildabeast a new one and I would relish every moment of it! Just the thought brings a smile to my face.

Disappointing.
I'd just like to see another patriotic candidate like Ronald Reagan again regardless of gender.

I am willing to bet if Catherine Zeta Jones had a mug shot, she wouldn’t look much better. Speaking of, has anyone heard anything from Maureen Dowd lately? /snicker

Actually you are. If Palin was as loved as the Palin-lovers say then she would be President by now.

Considering she has never run for the office, that would be quite a trick.

Run, Sarah, run.

I can’t hold my nose and vote for the GOP wimps any longer.

I can’t breathe.

1. For everyone having a conniption about the gender angle:

The. woman. answered. the. question. that. she. was. asked.

She did not say men need not apply.

She just answered the question, which was about women, specifically Hillary, running in 2016.

2. For everyone saying Cruz/Palin:

You do know that Palin is older than Cruz and has more executive experience?

She also has the experience of running in a national campaign, which he does not.

If you are asking what I think... I think Obama’s minions threatened her family.

Can’t prove it one way or the other. But she has been doing a fine job as king maker... almost as good.

The DemonRATs play identity politics to the hilt. It is part of the check-off list. The question is, why do they? Hint: it works.

Sarah is looking at the mechanics of a campaign from a political science perspective. Identity politics may seem so phony and makes one wonder how can so many people fall for it. That is because so many people make their decisions through emotions. They are easily manipulated and the political scientists know it and will use identity politics as if it was holy scripture. Credit Sarah Palin for putting forth sound campaign strategy.

I would like identity politics to go into the ash heap of history. However, you can’t fight human nature and the manipulative politicians who will use human nature to their advantage. They know identity politics works and build it into their strategy like a used car salesman sprays new car scent into a pile of crap.

Except for Sarah, there is no woman with potential on the GOP side who is a proven vote-getter, or fully qualified On the Rat side, all the woman pols are wastes. If there is one decent man OR woman, clue me in please. This thing about America benefitting by having more women in power is silly. How did putting a black guy in power work out? Bob
