How about “Phantom of the Opera” and “Fools Rush In” or anything by Jane Austin. I’m guessing princess means romantic chick flick?

Not a very happy ending in that one.

“Second Hand Lions”. The love between the Duvall character and the Princess was a part of the story.

AC/DC live in St. Louis is pretty good.
Of course I never found out what became of the princess.

Thanks for so many suggestions. I’m not looking for a romantic comedy. I am searching for a woman (of course right?). I think fairy tale in an adult way is what she likes the best. Not a romcom. I’m thinking a rags to riches story works well too. Or something even fairytale like “While you were sleeping.” But the suggestions provided already are much appreciated. Thanks so much.

“2 Weeks Notice” with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant.

The Cowboy and the Lady. Merle Oberon and Gary Cooper in a cute romantic comedy. It’s a black and white oldie.

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” (1991) is one of my favorite princess movies—entertaining even for adults. Lots of great actors doing the voices. Funny and uplifting. You then can explore the BATB selections all the way back to silent films—an interesting study.

There is a recent biopic of (Princess) Grace Kelly, “Grace of Monaco.” It meets some of your criteria, but many reviewers disliked it. I did not see it.
