Police Officer Darren Wilson was not indicted by a grand jury for the murder of Michael Brown. Based on the evidence it is clear that Wilson shot Brown in self defense. Brown had already robbed a convenience store, he had already attacked Wilson once trying to steal his gun. The evidence indicates that Brown charged at Wilson and Wilson shot him dead. There is no indictment because Wilson was completely justified in using force. That doesn’t matter to the progressive community organizers in Ferguson who are currently inciting the mob to burn the city to the ground. President Obama hasn’t helped the situation much at all, admonishing the country to try to understand the rioters. It’s difficult to understand why people would be rioting over a police officer shooting a criminal who was attacking him.
One of the signs that struck me read “black lives matter.” This is absolutely a true statement, which is why it’s so bewildering that the black community rallies around people like Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin. Brown was a criminal who attacked a cop, Martin picked the wrong guy to attack. These people aren’t worth rallying behind. Race is almost never a factor in murder. FBI statistics make clear, if you’re going to be murdered there is an overwhelming chance that you’ll be murdered by someone of your own race. In the case of blacks, 93% of blacks are murdered by other blacks. Per capita, blacks have the highest murder rate. Rather than rally around criminals, the black community and indeed America would be better off focusing on ways to reduce black on black crime. Black lives do matter and if the country can reduce the black murder rate hundreds if not thousands of lives can be saved each year.
Around 300,000 black babies are aborted each year. In 2012, New York City alone accounted for over 31,000 black abortions. Since Roe v. Wade was decided, over 13 million black babies have been killed. Black lives do matter, including the unborn. Planned Parenthood outlets and other abortion clinics are disproportionately located in black neighborhoods. If these protesters actually care about saving black lives, the biggest impact they can have is opposing abortion and encouraging mothers not to kill their babies. Instead, Ferguson is being burned to the ground over a criminal while a holocaust is taking place at the local abortion clinic. Make no mistake, the abortion holocaust affects all races in America. However, it disproportionately hits the black community.
The progressives whipping up race hatred in Ferguson don’t really care about black community. They’re only interested in making political points and organizing people by stirring up racial prejudice. Thousands of black lives will be lost in Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Detroit and other progressive cities, all at the hands of other blacks. To focus on one act of police use of force, a justifiable act no less, and declare the cops are out to get blacks is so ludicrous it’s amazing anyone can say it with a straight face. Not only do these people say it with a straight face, the whip up the mob to burn down their own city. Of course, that’s assuming the mob in Ferguson is actually from the community. It would surprise no one if we later discover that nearly everyone arrested is from outside metro St. Louis. The progressive community organizers are putting on a threatening show, for them it really doesn’t matter whether it’s authentic or not.
Obama and Eric Holder have said we need to have a honest discussion about race. These two may actually be right about something, we do need to have an honest discussion. To be honest though, the conversation won’t go in the direction they might desire. Those two want to pretend like it’s the 60’s where tyrannical white police departments target the black community. In 2014 that’s about as dishonest a conversation as we can have. If we want an honest discussion about race, we need to start with the appalling black on black crime statistics which create the need for a large police presence in black neighborhoods. If we can do something to lower the black on black crime in this country, local communities can pull back on their police presence. Until we can be honest about the problems facing the black community, we can expect more mothers at the cemetery burying their murdered sons. No one wants such a scene but until we start having honest conversations it’s going to continue in massive numbers.
When an on-duty officer discharges his weapon in the course of his duty, it is not murder if someone dies due to his action.
I'm not saying cops don't murder--but this was clearly not murder. Perhaps it could've been negligence, or dereliction of duty. It wasn't murder, though.
Meanwhile, Jessie Matthew (black) has not yet been charged with the murder of University of Virginia student Hannah Graham (white) who disappeared September 13, 2014. The body was found October 18. Matthew has been charges in a 2005 sexual assault of another white female in Fairfax County, VA. Forensic evidence also links him to the rape, disappearance, and murder of Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington in 2009.
No Sharpton, no Jackson, no Obama. No outraged progressives, no outraged feminists, no outraged Black Congressional Caucus. No UN human rights investigation, no US Justice Department team investigating human rights violations. No riots by the “community”. No huckstering by the parents. No nightly news stories in the mainstream press. Just normal people who still believe in the rule of law waiting for the wheels of justice to slowly turn.
“Motivation” for what, odumbo’s “free sh&t”, welfare checks, stealing, looting, robbing, burglary, etc.? Blacks are more interested in taking someone else’s property than working for or earning their own.
Nothing will change those Street Rats unless they take a look in the mirror and realize they are causing this themselves. It starts when they are children but WHO is going to teach the child when the parents were never taught? Mind you, not ALL blacks fall into the “lost cause” category as there are lots of good hard working and honest blacks who are just as disgusted and appalled at other blacks as the whites are. It starts at home and until that is realized and fixed, NOTHING will change.
It was NOT MURDER.
A qualified jury declared it a good shoot.

That statement is correct, Officer Wilson was not indicted by a grand jury for the murder of Michael Brown. He isn’t being charged with murder, manslaughter or negligent homicide. At this point there was no murder but it took the Grand Jury refusing to indict Wilson to get to that point.
Obviously, Black lives don’t matter in Chicago, the King’s home town.
I’m lost as to how you’re reading this statement in such a negative way. It was the grand jury’s job to determine whether there was enough evidence to indict Wilson for murder. They decided there was not. Therefore, Wilson was not indicted for the murder of Brown. Must I really note that there is therefore no murder? It seems self evident to me, especially so when we all more or less know the facts.
And your very first statement alludes that Brown was murdered by Wilson, even though the GJ did not indict.

The problems in the black community, and really in all communities in America, is the lack of fathers at home with their children. The black illegitimacy rate is over 70%. Young men cannot be properly raised by a mother alone. Obviously there are situations where that happens (for example, dad dies) but if the norm is that fathers are married to their kids mom and live at home the community can make up for the loss of a father in a handful of families. When generations go by where over half the children have no father, it becomes a community wide problem that cannot be made up for. That’s the real issue and from this issue flows most of the cultural problems both in the black community and in America at large.
What is not a real or legitimate issue is black on white crime. While black on white crime is higher than white on black crime, the overwhelming majority of white victims are victimized by other white people. In other words, black on white crime isn’t terribly common or relevant.
It most certainly does not. The first sentence is a statement of fact, Wilson was not indicted for the murder of Michael Brown. That is true is it not? Or was he secretly indicted for murder and no one has bothered to tell the rioters in Ferguson?

You need to re-word your opening statement to indicate that no crime actually took place on the part of Darren Wilson, and that Michael Brown was not murdered.
...what, you too...sigh...
...his opening sentence established a true situation regarding the convening of a grand jury to determine the evidentiary case to support a charge of murder...thus the refusal of the grand jury to indict expresses in very fact the lack of such evidentiary support...
...which means that the officer was not indicted (true fact) by a jury tasked with finding evidence for indictment on a charge of murder (also a true fact)...
