President Barack Obama's executive amnesty could provide legal status to 1.6 million people living in California, according to new estimates.
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) noted Thursday that President Obama's announcement coincides with Mexico’s Mexican Revolution and Civil War Day, comparing the day to America’s 4th of July. “Obama is making a powerful and dangerous symbolic declaration to large Spanish media audiences today comparing his new immigration orders to the violent Mexican revolution and civil war!" ALIPAC President William Gheen said.
A statement from ALIPAC also noted that Spanish language media corporation Univision will carry Obama's speech “in the USA, Central and South America, and around the Globe.”
Also Thursday, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced provision of Temporary Protected Status and work eligibility to nationals of Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea due to the Ebola crisis. Applicants must be “continuously residing” in the United States since Nov. 20, 2014 and “continuously physically present in” the United States since Nov. 21, 2014,” according to a November 20 USCIS release.

It takes time and legalizing 5,000,000 is a Herculean task. He’s going to create another department duplicating what is already in place, and fast track and streamline the process, so much will be glossed over and the laws ignored, IMHO.
You can’t take this guy’s word for anything. Saying amnesty is what the illegals have without this reform is insulting. He’s not a master at twisting words, he’s a master at ignoring the Citizens of the United States with a mendacity that is breathtakingly vicious.

As Levin has pointed out, there is not sufficient immigration clerical staff to process 15% of the estimated 5 MM currently here in regard to names and disease testing. This “vetting” will never really get done, it will only be done in massive arrears. Tens of thousands of crimes will have been committed by that time.

The same sort of “difficulty” existed with the 1986 amnesty and no one was turned away.
The market for old rental agreements and utility bills was huge and our latino amigos have multiple identities anytime they want. Try going to any big city park in LA and you can get yourself a California driver’s license, a Matricula Consular card, or whatever you want.
The number of foreign national lawbreakers given amnesty in 1986 was triple what was predicted. The same will be true this time around. This is like living in the very last days of Rome.

THIS is the true intent of the pResident and those pulling his strings. Keep the illegals flowing into the country to overwhelm it. It’s just a single battle front in the plan to overwhelm and destroy the USA.

I do not know the current process. If what he laid out we are already supposed to be doing, then he didn't change anything.
Yes, it is a huge task. Lets start the 'right' way - doing what the president wants. Bring in some people who 'qualify'. Go over their documentation. If it is in line - all of it - then they pay their fines, their back taxes, and they get a tax id. Not citizenship, not voting rights. If the documentation is not in line, then they get deported. Their whole family goes back. Make it the new law.
Once you kick a decent percentage and send them away, the task will no longer be huge, because no one will want to take their chances.
A lot of these folks are in for a rude awakening. The ones with few skills and poor English are making sub-minimum wages for a reason. That’s all employers are willing to pay them.
Their work permits will allow them to work in the formal economy, yes; but will also require employers to pay them at least minimum wage. No employer is going to do that when he can simply replace the newly legal-illegal with a still-in-the-shadows illegal.
What he did not explain to the illegals was that his move will A. most likely be hit with a Court order, B. at best will only last until the next POTUS, C. ID’s them with a target on their back when deportation en masse comes in 2017, D. will likely lead to harsher immigration laws, including killing “anchor baby” law.
Nobama’s “hopey changey” horse hockey did so much good for holders people he decided to pass some around.
