‘Duck Dynasty': Phil Robertson’s Family Believes America Could Collapse
The Inquisitr News ^ | November 16, 2014 | Patrick Frye

The Duck Dynasty family has made the news partially due to their politically incorrect statements, and Phil Robertson tends to be the largest contribute to soundbites. But now, Phil’s son has taken the stump and is declaring that it’s possible that America could collapse just like the Roman empire.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, Phil Robertson believes that Bibles and guns are the answer to any American’s woes. The Duck Commander patriarch also had a dire warning for Sadie Robertson’s boyfriend, saying that if they do not keep it in their pants, then he would “break” them.

Phil Robertson’s family has also become quite vocal during the 2014 elections. Phil has joined politicians in Louisiana, and he’s even helped stumped for candidates favored by Sarah Palin. His son, Alan Robertson, joined the Duck Dynasty show a little late compared to the rest, but the pastor had a heavy message in mind when he spoke at the Values Voter Summit held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington.

“Let’s look at human civilization and go back at all the great cultures that rose up, like the Romans or others, and it [sin] just weighs in on itself and it destroys,” Robertson told CNSNews.com. “It becomes such a weighted-down culture in its own seeking of personal pleasure or personal gain, and then it collapsed. It’s happened every time, up to now. Do I think it will happen to America? Absolutely.”

Alan Robertson also believes the “evil one” is out to get them and compared some elements of the United States to Nazis after Houston pastors were subpoenaed to surrender copies of their sermons when they criticized the policies of Houston’s openly gay mayor.

“When I first heard about this and when you and I talked, I was just like, is this 2014 America or is this 1930s Germany that we’re living in? I mean, it was shocking and appalling,” Roberston said.

According to the Christian Post, Phil Robertson’s family believes it’s possible for America to “repent” of the path it has currently set as a nation.

“I think there are personal, individual examples of that [sin leading to destruction], but certainly you see from a cultural setting throughout history and what we see in the Bible especially, that ultimately costs a society and a culture whenever sin reigns. Whatever sin that is, and you’re right, it could be a lot of different ones. It’s not just Bible stories,” Phil Robertson’s son explained. “Do I think it will happen to America? Absolutely. Unless we somehow figure out that we were founded on the principles of godliness and following the law, because law is good and things like that. I think we have the element to repent.”

Indeed we do. And that might look something like this:

President Yoweri Museveni has repented his sins and the sins of Uganda as a nation in a move aimed at establishing Uganda as a God-fearing nation. The President made this historic move at Mandela National stadium Namboole in the early morning of today (Tuesday) at 2:00am during national prayers for dedicating Uganda to God. "I denounce witchcraft and satanic practices. I repent on behalf of Uganda. We confess our sins. We repent of the sins of shedding innocent blood, corruption, bribery, sexual immorality, drunkenness, rebellion, insubordination, tribalism and sectarianism," Museveni repented amidst ululations from the Christians. The president dedicated Uganda to God to be his nation anchored on his principles and values.

The President, indicating that the next 50 years belong to the young generation, advised the young people to be God-fearing referring to the Biblical verse in Proverbs 9:10 which says, "The fear of God is beginning of wisdom."....The prayers were organized by Uganda Jubilee Network, an association of Anglican, evangelical and Pentecostal churches....

....Rev. Simon Peter Emiau said no matter how many times Ugandans pray, God will not intervene in the affairs of our country without fulfilling the conditions in 2chronicles 7:14 of repenting and turning away from wicked ways. Calling upon church leaders and Christians to repent, Apostle Charles Tumwine attributed the current high level of immorality in the country to the wickedness/darkness in the church arguing that what happens in a nation is usually a replica of the state of the church.

Read Jonah 3. It’s possible for there to be redemption if a nation repents.

In the year 403 a Roman poet wrote of an eternal Rome and just seven years later Rome fell. Yes, the USA absolutely can fall.

If we let it.

The country will fall? Highly likely. The country will repent? Very unlikely.

Well...we got Muslim prayers at the National Cathedral, trannies totin’ rifles on the combat line, Mexican nationals about to be gifted that which hundreds of thousands died for and for which millions of Americans have worked, the world’s most advanced medical care delivery system about to be turned into the DMV, and 39% of the population who have no interest in a job.

If you’re lookin’ for collapse, you’re way late to the party.

I'm with Phil. I honestly believe that America has moved so close to a cess pool of ignorant people that when real bad times comes they will go insane. The American economy is ready for a real collapse and when it does, those that were living on welfare will riot for something that has allowed to dry up.

Add all the fatherless families, the feminization of our boys, the tramping of our girls, the race-baiting, the demonzation of our Founders, the spitting on Christianity, the violence and dehumanization in video games, and all the other leftist/liberal/progressive/Marxist lies...

People and their meds ... You just have no idea — so many millions are on every kind of med under the sun — most are on high dose anti depressants which I feel just enables them to stick their heads in the sand as needed.

Wait until these millions lose access to all their dope ... No one will be able to cope for 5 minutes.

My greatest hope is that at present I require no meds to function or to stay alive.

There isn’t much from any of the Robertsons to disagree with.

Throw the debt in on top of it all....not looking good.

I pray your nation gets through the next couple of years and then sets on a path to recover.

I sometimes wonder if Christians from Africa will arrive on our shores as missionaries. God bless Uganda and President Musaveni!
