Over the years I've seen other articles like this before...
Conservatives don’t normally pay much attention to fancy psychobabble, but this is a worthy exception. Some nerdlinger social scientists in America have discovered that people with Right-wing views tend to be happier than those with Left-wing views – even if the party that best represents them is out of power...
Why are conservatives happier? The research found that Right-wingers tend not to blame their problems on other people – so they refuse to be depressed by victimhood. This makes a lot of sense. When you accept that you are your own master, then you feel in command of your own destiny and, so, more inclined to address your crises rather than bury them in political melodrama.
If the same conclusion keeps being drawn...well, now we can know why liberals are the blue states. There is a catch at the end of the article that people are more satisfied with liberal rule, especially conservatives. I'm not sure I agree with it though because it doesn't add up.

Constant outrage at the status quo and a compelling need to find someone outside your tribe to blame can be pretty exhausting. And they think we’re the angry ones!
Liberals do seem to always find something to bitch about.
Personally I am a happy pessimist. I know the whole kit and kaboodle is eventually going over the cliff, but I'll try to find some joy before the big fiery crash at the bottom.

Actually, I think it does add up. Studies seem to show that it's the little stuff that has the most impact on our happiness; longer commutes, more hassles, etc. If I had to work with a bunch of liberals -- or even one particularly whiny one (I have various particular friends and acquaintances in mind...) -- I would likely be happier day-to-day when a liberal was in charge, because I wouldn't have to listen to my co-workers scream and moan Every. Single. DAY. Conservatives don't whine and moan nearly as much, so when liberals are in charge life in a mixed group is more livable.
In the long run, of course, liberals being in charge adds to the overall stress and misery, because you have more stupid little things you have to deal with (red tape, paperwork, PC speech, etc.). But a lot of that stuff is still around after the conservatives are in charge, and humans adapt pretty quickly, so on balance it's those daily moans that make the difference.
People become liberals because they are angry that someone could have a legitimate salary with 6, 7, 8, 9, or even 10 digits. They are angry about people who are intelligent enough to get what they want, and angry at the LORD for failing to give them a billion dollars for doing nothing at all.
This explains the origins of “victim politics”, the welfare and “public works” systems, regulations, atheism, Islam, sodomy, sex changes, and the routine harassment and murder of political opponents. Inspect a liberal deeply enough, and you’ll find a criminal; inspect a criminal deeply enough, and you’ll find a liberal.
The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, but I’m happy because I don’t have to mow it.
I realized this in 2008 when Obola was elected. We conservatives were disappointed but we rallied and the Tea Party was born.
Liberals got their first black president (who was also a communist), still had a demoncrat House and Senate, and were still perpetually P.O.’d about everything.
Do you know why?
They will always be defeated by the one that outworks them.
They are incapable of adaption or change to increase their own image of themselves. They, by rule, are the ones who cannot tolerate a competitive society.
I freely admit that I get as frustrated as anyone. But there is a big ‘happy place’ in this madness for me since I am powerless to change it.
When the SHTF and the planet looks like the Fallout 3 video game, every one of those liberals is going to suffer far more than any right winger simply because without their precious Apple products and electricity/internet access and Google, they are utterly retarded and will serve as slaves for their more alpha feral brethren.
And that makes me VERY happy indeed.
