CDC allowed Doctors Without Borders to bring Ebola patient onto New York City subway
Craig Spencer is a U.S. doctor who, as a participant in Doctors Without Borders, went to Guinea to treat Ebola patients.
After he got back to the U.S., he passed the so-called “enhanced screening” that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control gives to all returning travelers from West Africa.
After he passed this “enhanced screening,” he rode on the New York City subway system, went to a bowling alley, and rode in a taxi.
After that, he tested positive for Ebola.
CDC Director Tom Frieden said that people with Ebola should not ride on mass transit because they might give Ebola to someone else.

It’s only a matter of time before it’s spread throughout every major city. The fact is we have a radical Muslim and an enemy of the United States as President, and he is going to do everything he possibly can to bring it down. If it ain’t Ebola, it will be something else. The problem is not Ebola or even Obama. The problem is Congress who REFUSE to do anything about him! They are beyond contempt!

...seems like the policy is to allow Ebola to spread at any cost...knowing how dangerous this virus is - such actions point directly to “intentional” and should be questioned followed by holding those responsible accountable!

Time to bring back the Harlem Shake, remember that quick fad? Even the Iranian Soccer players were doing it, and having a little fun. This was a little after Tebowing took over America for a full summer and autumn season.

How nice. Be a member of one of the prog cool kids clubs and our Lord of the Flies government will escort you past the drones’ barriers to let you do stupid crap that endangers the icky people. Spencer himself is either the punchline for “What do you call the guy who graduates from medical school at the bottom of his class?” or he’s got a lethal case of hipster self-embrace going on. Maybe both.

Why does a Doctor treating Ebola victims, not put himself into a 21 day quarantine before coming home?

Some things must be true
So we assume they are true
Whether true or not
Politically speaking, some things must be true.
1. The President must be able to truthfully say “I got this”.
2. We must be able to maintain travel to West Africa safely.
3. The CDC must be able to protect us.
These things are axiomatic. It does not matter whether or not they are true, because our policy will be based on the assumption that they are true.
So the CDC has to say, with a straight face, that they have and “advanced screening” procedure for people arriving from Ebola infected areas of West Africa, and we base our policy on the assumption that this is true.
This works its way down to the lowest level. This doctor, presumably an intelligent man, got cleared by this “enhanced procedure” and proceeded to hop on the New York City Subway. Even though his medical training and experience clearly indicates this is not true, he assumes that it is true and behaves accordingly.
Multilpy this by a million times, and you have an epidemic.
But today is the 24th of October. The Midterm Elections are on the 4th of November. Looking at the calendar and the incubation period of Ebola, it may well happen that there will be no additional infections resulting from this mistake until after the election.
On the 5th of November, half of New York City could up and die, and it would not matter to our betters in Washington DC. The elections will be in the bag, and they will not have to face the voters for another two years. In fact, an nice epidemic of hemmoragic fever might be the very thing to get people to come around on Obamacare...

Why does a Doctor treating Ebola victims, not put himself into a 21 day quarantine before coming home? Perhaps he mistook "Doctors without borders" as being "Ebola without borders."

THAT is EXACTLY what he SHOULD have done. But the CDC & Doctors Without Borders don’t have that protocol, so he didn’t. They allowed him do self-monitoring. And now they’re praising him for reporting his symptoms quickly.
He should be excoriated.

We can’t be properly empathetic (in Obama’s eyes) unless we are grappling with the same problems as the Africans.
It is a theme that has repeated itself throughout his administration.
I have no doubt that the introduction of Ebola here is desired and intentionally created.

“We cant be properly empathetic (in Obamas eyes) unless we are grappling with the same problems as the Africans.”
Although he acted irresponsibly when he returned, this doctor was down there in the hot zone trying to help. We are an empathic nation, but will never be able to do enough or be charitable enough to avoid the constant criticism from the left. To some of them, the world would be Nirvana is not for the US.

Saw one of these Medical Experts answer that last night. To paraphrase:
“We go to these hell holes and give a couple of months of our lives dealing with daily risk in extreme heat and deprivation. When we are able to come back home for the holidays and family visits, we don't want to be in isolation for several weeks. No one wants to put up with that. We are experts. We can self monitor.”
