“If youre used to real food then its nasty.”
Yep. Both McD’s and Wendy’s hamburgers made me and Mrs. Catnipman ill when we got “nostaligic” for trying them again a while back. Each burger (at different times) set like lead balls in our stomachs and didn’t want to go any further. End of nostalgic experiment. (Trying Velveeta “cheese” one time had even worse consequences for us.)
BTW, I’m the kind of guy who cooks dried beans and rice from scratch, makes my own buttermilk, own salad dressing, etc., and cooks almost everything from scratch with wholesome, fresh, and high quality ingredients (as well as being gluten-free by necessity). Needless to say I’m a fussy shopper.
At any rate, we both seem to have lost the digestive enzymes for garbage food like McD’s.
You and the mrs would do well in our house! We love a good bean soup from dries beans and my homemade chicken stock (just canned 35 quarts last week). Our three (6 and under) love it too! They’ve never had fast food.
I’m the kind of guy who buys 2 Double Cheeseburgers from the Value Menu and washes them down with the 16 oz value soda. Under $4 and it keeps me full for hours!
For breakfast, a Sausage McMuffin sandwich - $2.
I use McD’s less now that they have gone upscale and try to sell lots of foo-foo stuff. All they need are burgers, nuggets, fries & sodas, sold cheap and fast.
My, how very special you are! LOL!
