It’s cheap, which is all that matters to many people. Their profits are down so apparently it does matter to more and more.
Plenty of cheap food franchises have failed. McDonalds knows how to sell food. Granted, I rarely eat there but they put out a known, appreciated product that rarely varies between stores.
Check out today's Mcdonald's. It's not so cheap any more.
Costs are up so their prices are up. All the money being pumped into the stock market by the Fed is going to the top 5% . No income growth and inflation means less middle class money for McDonald’s and WalMart, both of which are not meeting their sales projections. Unless something drastically changes the world of retail and fast food is going to undergo a radical transformation in the next few years.
