With you there. Just take a quick glance at the shift in headlines since 5:30PM
A new study underscores the potential danger of airplane passengers infected with Ebola leaving West Africa: If there were no exit screening in place, researchers estimate that three people with the disease might fly out of the region each month.

(CNN) -- Up to three Ebola-infected travelers might board an international flight each month in West Africa, according to a new study, and potentially spread the deadly virus to other countries.Scientists used a model to predict that, on average, three people who are infected with Ebola will leave Guinea, Liberia or Sierra Leone in each of the coming months to fly to another country.

Something is up . . .
In West Africa, they don't have good hospitals or even good living conditions. So, it is common for ordinary people such as Duncan to come in contact with very contagious cases. In many cases, they may be too ignorant even to know the danger. This appears to be the case with Duncan, since he resisted the idea of seeking treatment when he became ill in Dallas.
Unlike what the CDC morons are saying, such a measure would have no effect on the ability to deal with the disease in Africa. Returning relief workers are a manageable problem.
Dr. C.J. Peters and Dr. Philip K. Russell with all of their experience and that Klain guy is in charge of overseeing the fight against ebola?
They are not releasing data after October 14 — WHO and the CDC both have previous data, but they are withholding more recent data. And, they aren’t releasing any data about Liberia.
Something smells in Western Africa, and it is not just rotting bush meat.
Maybe Hussein picked Klain so he could be his golf partner. After all, Klain has already missed two high level meetings on Ebola. My mistake - Klain probably already knows all there is to know, he is, after all, a flaming lib!
anyone else notice how much the last month resembles the beginning of some of the SyFy channel zombie movies?
I dunno...
What I DO know is casting absolutes into results of a lab setting ran by animal handlers and who-knows-who after hours is hysterical.
To presume the outcome of the so-called experiment was completely human-error-free and conclude it was airborne has no supporting evidence in the field.
I’ve looked at that and the Reston case and I can’t help but wonder: If nurses were so ‘careless’ to infect themselves, could animal laboratory assistants making minimum wage possibly have cross-contaminated food and/or water?
It’s a valid question. I see absolutely no evidence it’s airborne (yet).
Thus, when absolute statements from the Administration come out declaring “We know EXACTLY how this virus behaves”...
...I come back to my prior conclusion that this is all a manufactured crisis with a severe measure of both incompetence and treachery.
Keep cool heads: Focus on the government & elections, not the bug (as I believe its ‘arrival’ was intended to do).

Of the government response to this ‘crisis’, there’s a perfectly-fitting phrase from a movie about a bunch of monkeys and a football that I cannot quote here...but of course I’m racist for even suggesting it, right? /s
SEN. TED CRUZ DISCUSSES EBOLA WITH CANDY CROWLEY
He responds with such common sense and leaves Candy speechless, just eager to go to another question.
Ted Cruz is presidential material.

They still don't understand the virus. They think some persons may have some immunity.
I learned something last winter about a bad virus that hit in my area. I got so sick I had to go to the ER twice in two days to be re-hydrated. I've only been that sick one other time and I was 12 then 45 years ago.
My wife who is far more susceptible to viruses and bacterias only got a mild touch of it. If she had the severeness I had it could have possibly killed her. The ER doctor asked her what blood type she was. I took her to the ER when she first showed symptoms. She is AN Negative I'm type O. He said Type O patients get hit hard by that virus and AB did not. BTW they also think as an infant she had a mild case of Polio that went undetected. Strange.

"We should stop issuing travel visas from Liberia, which, interestingly enough, the neighboring countries in Africa have done."
Minor nit: the screening at the Monrovia airport does have one useful purpose, even though it obviously failed to keep Duncan from traveling. Consider how much worse it might have been if Duncan had been sick and shedding viruses when he boarded that flight to Brussels.
Yes and let us not forget FX %he Strain. Also looks like alot of shows has this “end of the world” theme too.
So pigs can be carriers of Ebola zaire ? Better eat your bacon while you still can.
That's a reasonable statement. However, don't forget Occam's Razor. No need to posit exotic mutations when a simple explanation (inadequate gear and sloppy removal/decontamination procedures) explains what's going on.
Really interesting article in the New Yorker (can’t post to FR) about the mutations of ebola.

Duncan was very sick when he finally left that apartment, so there is no question about how infectious he must have been. But were the people in the apartment with him ever at any real risk? ....
No not at any risk at all as planned.
It’s the wons October surprise, the ‘JV’ Ebola just like he said so, Yeaah makes him look good and sooo smart yes sir ree.
And to think that his CDC would dare have a wardrobe malfunction and mess up his narrative. That’s what he’s mad as hell about.
Ted Cruz not in your link
As I posted on another thread, there will be a big slow roll orchestrated by the administration when it comes to releasing any new ebola infection reports.
