Michael Brown’s family to Gov. Jay Nixon: Appoint new prosecutor
MSNBC ^ | October 6, 2014 | Trymaine Lee

The family of slain Missouri teenager Michael Brown is renewing calls for Gov. Jay Nixon to appoint a special prosecutor to the case, citing potential bias on the part of St. Louis County prosecutor Bob McCulloch.

In a letter sent to Nixon on Monday, attorney Benjamin Crump said a recent move by the county prosecutor’s office to place on hold all cases involving Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson, who shot and killed Brown in August, “clearly raises an issue of concern.” The letter states that Wilson, “as the arresting officer and primary witness for many of the prosecution’s current cases, has developed a special working relationship with Mr. McCulloch and his office.”

“As a potential defendant who would be prosecuted by the same office if indicted, Wilson would impact the administration of justice. In light of recent developments, the appointment of a special prosecutor is now necessary more than ever, both to protect the appearance of a possible conflict of interest and to ensure that no bias exists,” Crump wrote in the letter. “For the sake of impartiality and the fair administration of justice, we ask that you appoint a special prosecutor to handle the prosecution into the death of Michael Brown, Jr.”(continued)

The prosecutor’s job ended when he signed the order to send the case to the grand jury.

Great idea. And if they don’t like that one they can ask him to appoint another one, and if they don’t like that one ....

And of course, if the grand jury doesn’t bring an indictment, publicly hang them and appoint another until the desired results are achieved. (Not really hang them, just have CNN publicly crucify them on national TV and then release all their personal information).

They want a persecutor rather than a prosecutor.

Ding!

I just had a thought. (Rare, I know!)

It all makes sense now. The reason Holder is stepping down as Attorney General is to personally take on the Special Prosecutor to Persecute Darren Wilson.

It’ll be the highlight of his career - to send an innocent man to jail.

A suggestion for Michael Brown’s family: Leave the country. You and your spawn have already damaged this country enough with your antics.

I doubt that’s it. He’s already sent lots of innocents to jail overtime.

I think he’s just getting out before a Republican majority Congress can impeach him.

I picked up on the below this morning, from the "comments" section of some online Ferguson unrest story -- fine work:

I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the many great contributions of the Black community and their culture to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature makes them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture.

Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people. Real Estate values are fueled by the influx of African Americans into an area due to their caring and respectful nurturing of these communities, an example of all they have achieved by their enthusiasm for self-improvement through hard work and a self-reliant can-do nature. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation.

Presently enriching the cities of Spokane WA, Chicago IL, Philadelphia PA, Washington D.C., St. Louis MO, New Orleans LA, Los Angeles CA, Flint MI, Baltimore MD, Pontiac MI, Gary Ind., Newark NJ, Cleveland OH, Atlanta GA, Richmond VA, Memphis TN, Birmingham AL, Camden NJ; and let's not forget Detroit, the tourism capital of the world!!

I bet Gutless Nixon does it. He will dance to their tune to get back in liberals’ good graces for the rest of his term.

Justice is not a team sport. That seems to be lost on these folks. It is a search for facts and the assessment of responsibility under the law based on the facts that are found. These folks will not be satisfied unless they get the verdict they are certain of, without benefit of facts.

I have seen this in person in Clayton County, GA courts, where two families and their supporters erupted into a brawl in the corridor outside the courtroom after a verdict was announced. No respect for the court or the process, just insistence on victory for my team! That kind of limited understanding of what the justice system is for, is clearly on display in Ferguson.

May I suggest Liberia as the destination point.
One way tickets, perhaps.

You wouldn’t be suggesting giving in to these thugs to avoid more riots, would you?
