The sweat-stained sheets of Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person diagnosed with Ebola in the United States, still on her bed, a woman quarantined in a Dallas apartment said Thursday that she desperately wants her familys nightmare to end.
We cant wait to be over with everything, the woman, who asked to be identified only by her first name, Louise, told CNNs Anderson Cooper. We cant wait.
While Duncan is in isolation at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, his partner and three others have been stuck in a Dallas apartment since his diagnosis this week. Louise told CNN that authorities had her sign paperwork stating if we step outside, they are going to take us to court (because) well have committed a crime.
So there she has stayed, along with her 13-year-old son and two nephews in their 20s. But it hasnt been easy.
Louise told CNNs Cooper by phone that she is checking her temperature every hour, and based on that and everything else, isnt sick. She expressed frustration being confined nonetheless, since people are only contagious with Ebola if they are symptomatic....

The confinement order should have stated that if they left the apartment they would be charged with attempted murder, and if anyone caught it as a result they would be charged with murder.
They can sit tight for 21 days to keep from killing other people.
But I do hope they are getting them sufficient supplies, including cleaning materials.
So she signed paperwork. Which is now probably infected
I am wondering if someone in hazmat suits can come in and remove the contaminated stuff and dispose of it..
Over? What’s that mean? She seems pretty confident none of them have it. She may be in for a rude awakening. “Over” may be permanent.
Insanity rules....the CDC Director should RESIGN
The block needs to be knocked down.
What Quarantine?

If I were a betting man I would say there is about a 90 % chance she and the kids have it and the vomit cleaners about a 50% chance.
Curious as to how come the Ebola victim’s (I guess he is. What else does one call a person sick with Ebola?) sweaty sheets, obvious bodily excretions on those sheets are still in that apartment with the isolated woman, and the others?
Just curious as it would seem to me one of the first things one would want to dispose of properly to ensure, or try to ensure the disease does not spread to the others in that family. ?????????????????
Over? Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
No mention of her daughter, who made the 911 call. No quarantine??
Jake Tapper thinks something has to do with RACE.
The apartment should have been sanitized and any infected linen etc properly disposed of, THEN have them quarantined in the apartment.
If these people handle any infected items in an attempt to clean or dispose of... they’re goners.
Americans are so lucky that the Kenyan and his ‘RATS have allowed us to “share” in “the Ebola experience”. It helps build that old “we’re all in this together” style unity.
Agreed. A hazmat crew should be sent in to dispose of the contaminated sheets and towels. Now a 13-year-old is trapped there with these contaminated things.
Someone is going to have to go in eventually and clean up, no matter what happens. So, why not send a crew in there now?
The poor woman, can’t they just let her go?
Article states she is a caregiver. So after her sometimes husband comes to America they consummate their marriage and then she goes to work to take care of sick and elderly. What a nightmare!!
I feel awful for wanting to tell her to shut up! We’ve gone from one person, then kids in 4 Dallas schools plus his family. On Wednesday it was 12-18 under observation and today it’s 100. Suddenly it’s also 3 more kids who were somehow in contact with him.
I just want to scream that this is even happening here.
Seriously, a pressure washer? That is just spreading it all over!
I am thinking more a ShopVac!
