These 2 women who were in the pickup truck are real happy that standards have fallen.

LA/Orange County/Santa Monica would have been a great place to live then. So less crowded, great beaches, etc.

Now its a cess pool... sign of the times.

Chino was great in the 60s and 70s.

I would dispute the assertion that Orange County is a cesspool.

I have some relatives that live in Brea. From what I understand it’s still nice. Traffic is just bad.

Some parts are rough and even dangerous, just like everywhere else. And yes, it’s crowded. But most of the area is very nice. My family’s been here since about 1935 so we’ve experienced the changes.

It was a different time.

I’m also guessing that wax or rubber bullets were used.

It was still a great place to live, even 40 years after this film was shot. Ask anyone who grew up there in the 50s and 60s (like I did).

Whatever they were they made nice holes in the wall.

Walls are usually tougher than body parts. Especially facial parts.

I can only imagine. I was in my teenage years in metro L.A. at the time.

My family’s been here since about 1935 so we’ve experienced the changes.

Both of my grandfathers relocated their families out to California during WWII. There are now four generations of my family in the state, so I know of what you speak.

It's why I moved to Texas.

Today’s city lawyers’ blood pressure would immediately spike to 300/250 and they would fall over dead if any modern cops tried that trick shooting!;)

Those were some very dangerous trick shots.
Bullet material doesn't much matter...it would do a number!
Hopefully that kind of recklessness is behind us. :-)

It was a different time.

It was a time long before spray and pray became the norm.

I had a great uncle who worked with Bill Jordon in the Border Patrol. He helped Jordon with a demonstration shoot several times. Bill shot aspirin off of his palm with wax bullets.
