A 98 year-old prophecy is fulfilled.
H.L. Mencken (born 1880 - died 1956) was a journalist, satirist, critic and registered Democrat.
Mencken wrote the editorial below while working for the Baltimore Evening Sun, which appeared in the July 26,1920 edition.
"As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron."

I think Mencken, being the consummate cynic, never believed we’d reach that point. I think given the social and political atmosphere of the day, it was clear that government would continue to blow up good things, thus leaving a void to be filled. Sadly, the void that’s left now is freedom, while we’re still left with an abject retard in the Oval Office.
It’s time to start getting America back to being a republic.
Think that America was started or meant to be a democracy?
Think again. The Founding Fathers set America up as a Constitutionally-limited, representative republic with its citizenry having negative rights.

It was first fulfilled in 2009, when the White House was occupied by Obozo.
The fulfillment came 88.5 years after the prophecy was written.
I thought it was fulfilled in 1992.

To all you Article Fivers out there, if you get a convention be sure to pass an amendment to the Constitution which allows only property owners to vote. That will go a long way toward curing the ails of this country. The unwashed masses don’t always make good decisions.
I think he is saying that the "plain folks" are the problem. Obama is just the personification of their desires.
No way in he11 that’s gonna pass. Persuading people to vote (directly or by proxy) for elimination of their right to vote won’t happen.
