I’m not planning for, or expecting to survive, the “extreme SHTF situation”. I’m planning for, and hoping to manage, a more moderate level of chaos.
Ditto.
Although in some ways, the "S" is already hitting my "fan", I'm kind of in the middle of a slow-motion bug-out. Which probably doesn't make sense, but it's the best way to describe it.

Somewhere I have a cookbook with directions for preparing turtle. All I can remember from it is that you treat it kind of like lobster in that you drop them in boiling water live. I’ll see if I can find it again.
