Yesterday the White House announced its plan to offer free motor vehicles to welfare recipients, after congress passed the bill in a narrow vote. The program, initiated by President Barrack Obama, is very similar to what is now widely known to the public as The Obama Phone, where welfare recipients can get free cell phone service through a subsidized program. Some are even already referring to the free vehicle program as The Obama Car.

Shouldn’t satire be labeled as such. With this president nothing is beyond the realm of possibility. Nothing, and I mean nothing that ahole does surprises me anymore.

Interesting, these times in which we live... the line between satire and reality is often blurred beyond recognition.
Recommend archiving this story and pulling it back out during the runup to the 2016 elections... I would not be surprised to see it — or something like it — in Breaking News.

I thought the government was opposed to cars since they burn fossil fuels?
They talk out of every corner of their mouths.
“China, can you approve a loan for 300 billion dollars?
Only 18% interest? Sure, whatever, it's the taxpayer's money, what do I care”

Years ago, when I lived in a rural area, my car conked out and I couldn't afford to get it fixed until my next paycheck, about a week later. However, I had an old Farm-All tractor which got me to work that week.
For that week, at least, I got a taste of how our local Amish must feel when they drive their horse and buggy on the road shoulder and other traffic whizzes by.

Is this satire or not? I’ve already created a riot elsewhere about this. If it’s satire, then say it is.

With a fiat currency, government debt, and a Federal Reserve printing money to buy that debt, this will go on forever, or until it all collapses.

Satire writers have gotten very lazy. Satire is supposed to use humor to provide a new perspective on an existing condition - highlight its absurdities with clever twists and penetrating insight.
Suddenly satire is just making crap up. Boring.

Suddenly satire is just making crap up. Boring. I agree. But the more one can make it sound like actual "news", the more traffic one will drive to the web$ite.
