KINGSTON, Jamaica — US attorney Jasmine Rand said that Trayvon Martin’s accused killer George Zimmerman was acquitted because the victim was black.
Speaking at press conference in Kingston on Monday, Rand, who represented the interests of Martin’s relatives in the case, said Zimmerman was set free because of where the incident happened.
“Trayvon Martin was shot because he was black. Zimmerman got away because he (Martin) was black. I think the case was lost because the jury selection was not done properly and the area where the trial took place,” Rand said.
The law professor is in Jamaica to assist lead attorney Miguel Lorne in seeking justice for Mario Deane’s family in his beating death early August.
Deane died in the Cornwall Regional Hospital after suffering a severe beating while in the custody of the Barnett Street police.
Jasmine Rand is not a “U.S. Attorney” but is an attorney in private practice with Parks & Crump in Tallahassee, Florida, where she leads the firm’s Civil Rights Department. Parks and Crump represented the Trayvon Martin family.............
The story wouldn’t get much attention if it just read “attorney”......... For example, who would have read the article if it read “Lybian Attorney........”?

Zimmerman had a busted head, and would have gotten worse, had he not stopped trayvon. He may have been killed.
The cop had a busted up face, and brown charged him again when the cop told him to stop walking away and that he was under arrest. WHAT was the cop supposed to do? Wait for the huge man to start beating him again?

In essence, Reed uses the media to generate race-based sympathy for the Parks and Crump client of the hour. This pressures the authorities and the judiciary to tilt in favor of that client and taints the potential jury pool.
In addition to helping in the immediate case, the publicity no doubt helps Park and Crump attract clients for their booming personal injury practice.
Since it is a minor Caribbean news outlet of limited quality, the use of U.S. instead of American may have been unintentional.
Zimmerman had black ancestry. By American customs, he was black. So we had a black person killing another black person. What do you bet if Zimmerman’s last name was Smith and his first name was some popular black boy’s name like Jamal, Jerrel, etc., the usual suspects wouldn’t be making a stink about this?
A fascinating approach to anthropology, which says in effect that societies create myths to sanctify that which is practically necessary for survival. In the case of the modern collectivist it seems that these people are creating myths which make survival impractical.

This creature is a self-loathing loser with no ethic or integrity (aka: a lawyer). Zimmerman was acquitted because the thug tried to murder him. Case closed.
