Ferguson proves that the old, beat-up race card has once and for all has been DECLINED.
Wish it were true. On,y time will tell.
If the nation goes Ferguson, the inner cities will be 99.9% black, the rural areas, where the food is grown and the interstates abide, will be 99.9% white. And politicians will fear God and the voters more than they love sex with 12 year old little boys and girls, money and power.

Anyone with a race card identifies themselves in a not good way.
For context, my first year in college was 1968. I remember feeling sorry for poor blacks etc. and thinking they should be given all these breaks. Parents - although they seemed more live and let live than racists - were not convinced that all those Great Society, AA type programs were the way to go.
Just 15 years later - WAY before Trayvon, Ferguson etc. - I thought “cr*p, they’re worse than ever and still demanding more - screw ‘em.”
Sorry, your race card is overdrawn.

This isn’t about race. It’s about law and order. The citizens of Ferguson supported race over law and order. Let them police themselves.
The problem that I see here is that the movement is towards apathy rather than active resistance to those playing the race card.
Apathy = silence. Silence = assent.
Until those playing the race card are punished, politically, for injecting such toxicity and divisiveness, it’s still going to get played and in many cases will work.
