Suge Knight and Michael Brown have two things in common. Both are very large men..about 6'4" and 300+ lbs. Both were shot multiple ( six) times. One died, and one walked to an ambulance.

One of the canards being repeated ad nauseam about the Michael Brown shooting, is that he was shot SIX times..including a head shot..and that this ipso facto constitutes use of excessive force by the police.
It is likely in Brown's case that the head wound occurred as he was falling forward, after being shot center mass..though this has not yet been conclusively stated by the multiple autopsies.
In the case of Knight's shooting, we have no reports about who shot him, or what type of weapon was used. Obviously, the type of pistol and ammunition used, as well as the ability of the gunman to shoot effectively, are huge factors in determining the outcome of the shooting.
However, the two events merit comparison, and analysis.
In Brown's case, the appears more and more that the officer was responding to a perceived threat to his life, and used his training and appropriate force to end the threat.
In Knight's case, it shows that one can be shot multiple times and could still be a viable threat.
Let's see if anyone else in the MSM draws this comparison.
Surge Knight is a huge, bodybuilding guy. He’s probably got enough muscle to take the steam out of the rounds he took. Michael Brown just looked fat.
A single headshot into the brain makes allllllllllll the difference when it comes to “stopping power” comparisons between the two shootings.
Can’t find a mention of caliber or bullets used.
Police normally carry better guns and ammo then most crooks.

An interesting premise.
Don’t forget that Brown was shot out by a cop trained to take out a threat.
Knight was (probably) shot by a street thug using ‘spray and pray’.
Also, Brown was a son of Obama, destined for martyrdom. Knight was merely marking a career enhancement on his resume.
I guess "impressario" is a fancy term for "thug."
Who wants to bet he was shot south of the belt.
Has Holder sent a get well card yet?

I thought I saw .40 S&W mentioned for the officer in MO, but that could have been faulty (memory or reporting, take your pick).

Shot placement is the most important factor in making a stop.
Also interesting to note:
When the police officer shot, there were no other hits from innocent bystanders.
When the rap dude got shot, two other people got shot that were just bystanders.
Yes, and every one of the several tactics instructors I’ve had has made a point of saying do no expect one round take downs. It does not matter where you fall on the 380, 9mm, 40, 45 scale (or other calibers). The single shot, target cartwheels over through a wall dead thing only happens in Hollywood. Or maybe if you’re using a Barrett 50... Anyway, they all said don’t fire unless you have to. But if you have to, you fire and keep firing until the threat is removed, ie down and no longer making movements that could be bringing a weapon to bear. Six shots, sounds about right. At close range you could easily get off six shots in the time it takes someone to fall to the ground, thus meeting the criteria for no longer being a threat.
You’re right. As far as I know the officer shot 6 times and hit his target with all six. That is remarkable because when the adrenaline is flowing it is hard to do that. Very hard. It implies the target was very close.
