Now it is time to bring out a Red and Gold clad marching band, playing “Hail to the Redskins”, a large banner with the name unfurled as the team is announced. I think we can count on Washington to bus over a few thousand loud fans with pig noses to drown out booing from the local fans.
Pot calling the kettle black? (Or red, as the case may be)
Um, “Vikings” is also a racist and derogatory name.
I mean those Scandos have bent over backwards to rid themselves of their pillaging ways, they live in this nation peacefully, they even invented Minnesota nice.
And are these people respected for that? Nooooooo, the NFL and that sports team constantly evoke the stereotype of the war mongering, raping, robbing, pillaging, extorting Viking.
If it was any other team, but the Vikings? Pot meet kettle.
Ban the Vikings as a mascot.
This will all depend on the decision of the owners of the stadium.
Someone explain to me, how is soccer “gay?”
I guess we know which week the NFL will have the teams wear the “throw back” uniforms.
( Just wondering.....?)
Ok...Now I will go read the article.
The name “Vikings” is racist.
Bye, NFL, ya lost me.
The good citizens of Minnesota should demand the Vikings return all public funds used for the stadiums if the Vikings do not comply. /S
Ban the 49ers.
They caused environmental damage.
Liberalism is indeed a mental disorder. The Great OZ has spoken.
To paraphrase Mr. Blutarsky in Animal House “I suggest we all start drinking heavily” (as well as buy Redskins gear to support this football team). The Great OZ has spoken.
“Vikings” is a horribly offensive name for a football team how dare they glorify rape and pillaging!
the nfl devolved to the level of professional wrestling a number of years ago. It’s much more spectacle than sport now. it’s such a debacle that it has moved on to destroy college football.
I am offended by the Vikings. Vikings killed and plundered. The Vikings should not be allowed to display their name or logo either.
Ban Giants! Well...they’re just too big.
Ban Ravens. It’s an offense to the memory of Edgar Allen Poe.
