Liberal Nicolle Wallace Is the New 'Conservative' Host on The View?
NewsBusters ^ | August 8, 2014 | Scott Whitlock

Posted on 08/09/2014 3:40:04 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

According to speculation by the Daily Mail on Friday, Nicolle Wallace, a liberal Republican who worked on John McCain's 2008 campaign and famously feuded with Sarah Palin, has been selected to fill the "conservative" seat on ABC's The View. The rumor comes a day after the producer of the left-wing Rachel Maddow Show was hired to run the ABC chat show.

Daily Mail writer Topper Toussaint claimed, "Commentator S.E. Cupp was also considered, but clashed with Rosie [O'Donnell]." He added, "'Rosie told her that her approach was just like Elisabeth Hasselbeck, which did not sit well,' according to the show insider." If the reports are true, Wallace will hardly be a conservative counterweight to the very liberal O'Donnell.

According to an October 22, 2010 report in the New York Times, "On Election Day, Mrs. Wallace didn’t even vote for the McCain-Palin ticket."

The GOP strategist talked to Time magazine about her 2011 novel that featured a crazy VP candidate:

The idea of a mentally ill vice president who suffers in complete isolation was obviously sparked by the behaviors I witnessed by Sarah Palin. What if somebody who was ill-equipped for the office were to ascend to the presidency or vice presidency? What would they do? How long would it take for people to figure it out? I became consumed by this question.

On October 15, 2013, Wallace appeared on Morning Joe. Asked by Joe Scarborough if she opposed ObamaCare, the Republican operative remarked, "I don't know anymore. My [former Bush aide] husband asked me the other day, 'What do we hate about it?"

On March 13, 2014 Wallace guest-hosted The View. She had this exchange with Jenny McCarthy about Bill Clinton's infidelities and a possible 2016 run for Mrs. Clinton:

JENNY MCCARTHY: But do you think Bill's past will hurt her at all?

NICOLLE WALLACE: No. That's baked in the cake. I mean, to know Bill is to love Bill, whether you're a Democrat or a Republican. So, I don't think it's going to affect anyone.

On November 1, 2013, Wallace again appeared on Morning Joe and defended Hillary Clinton on her "what difference does it make" comment.

On October 19, 2013, Wallace compared Republicans trying to defund ObamaCare to a two-year-old that you must stop from running into traffic.

Rather than select a conservative alternative for the millions of Americans who disagree with O'Donnell's world view, the View producers may have chosen a woman who, it seems, might often agree with the liberal comedienne.

The Wallaces and backstabber Rat Romney took out Gov. Palin and HER CHILDREN on the "eve" of Election 2008.

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Then Nicholle Wallace can go down in flames for all I care. I hope they beat her to a pulp.

Well, hiring Nicolle Wallace should eliminate the bickering and overtalking.

One thing in the story did kinda make my ears perk up. Nicolle Wallace is supposed to be a “counter-weight” to Rosie O'Donnell. I have never seen a picture of the Ms Wallace but to accomplish that, I assume she is pretty hefty gal.

Not really, but even if she was all the other four “co-hosts” combined wouldn’t be a “counter-weight” to Rosie.

ABC's "The View" - Nicole Wallace

CBS' "Madame Secretary" - Tea Leoni

Anyone think the MSM is gearing up early for their free campaign contributions to the "Hillary 2016" election fund? Hoping that voters will have in their minds the image of Tea Leoni as an attractive, decisive Secretary of State rather than the reality of Shrillery?

Or the "conservative" (but not a "rabid right-winger") Nicole Wallace rather than the Marxist wrecking ball that is Hillary?

Yes, I realize that neither really look like Hillary, but they all three have two eyes, a nose, mouth and 'blond' hair.

Imagine!

IMAGE - vote for the Hollywood style rather than the reality of Mrs. Machiavelli/Borgia.

Her horrible speaking voice, which could cut through steel, will be the counterweight to Rosie in obnoxiousness.

I wonder if Nicky will talk about her “nanny” as she likes to do on The View (she does it on Morning Joe) - you know, to bring her closer to the people.

Never forget that this harpy Wallace was one of Sarah Palin’s chief backstabbers in 2008, first setting her up with Couric and then spreading all sorts of damnable lie. at the end of the campaign. Immediately afterward, Wallace also came out as an Obama supporter. Detestable skank.

Whoopee Goldberg may be the most conservative on this new panel. Who in the world watches daytime TV? There can’t be that many people in nursing homes.

The funniest thing is that the Daily Mail described Wallace taking the show’s “conservative seat recently held by Jennie McCarthy.” lol.

Are you kidding? Do you know how many people are jobless, on UI, welfare, disability, worker’s compensation, or something else in this country? When I worked at the unemployment office we had to have television sets in the waiting room tuned to dreck like this, the game shows, “Judge Judy” type shows and soap operas or we’d have had a riot on our hands.
