Military personnel at a government-run health science university in Maryland were reportedly instructed not to eat or drink in front of Muslims during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
The brigade commander at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda sent an email last month to military personnel instructing them to show respect toward their Muslim colleagues during Ramadan fasting, which ended July 28, Fox News reported.
“This is a period of great personal restraint and commitment in addition to renewed focus on worship,” Col. Kevin Glasz reportedly wrote in the email. “I’d like to encourage you to learn just a little more about this religion, but more importantly, I’m asking you to be considerate and do not consume food or drink in front of our Muslim colleagues; it is a simple, yet respectful action.”
The brigade commander also provided a link to a website about Islam, specifically about Ramadan....

While stationed in Saudi Arabia 30 years ago, in the embassy, we were requested not to eat in front of Moslem employees during Ramadan. I had a Tech Sgt working for me, a black guy. He was driving home from work one afternoon, smoking in the car. While stopped for a light on Palestine Road, a Saudi opened his driver’s door and ripped the cigarette out of his mouth, screaming at him in Arabic, thinking he was an African Moslem who was violating Ramadan rules. Of course, the Royal family would never think of violating the rules, especially if alcohol were involved.
That would be a problem there I believe Jeffrey gave his life to the Lord 2 weeks before he was murdered in prison. Who knows, anything is possible. Yet I have no doubt Obama will get his judgement. God waits and sees.
It gets frustrating watching our government make decisions without any understanding of the mindset of cultures here in this country.... They do not think like we do.
In the case of Muslims the Government, and many in this nation, are more than clueless, they’re dangerous for everyone of us.

yeah, right.
While I don’t agree with it, it does make sense to not intentionally inflame the host nation against you. We had the same order when I was in Iraq. Too tell the truth I don’t see why anyone would eat outside over there as your food would end up covered in either dirt or sand.
The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences is in Bethesda, Maryland, not Baghdad, Iraq.
