I'm still waiting for you to explain, disown, or refute a single item I cited that Newt Gingrich wrote in his multiple books. You also owe an apology for the baseless and twisted attacks you made on my character.

As Christ taught, turning to G_d starts with repentance. Lest you huff, be reminded that He also said you will not be forgiven without reconciliation, just in case you missed the intent of Matthew 5:21-26.

I'm working on the Gingrich reply ... be sure of that ...

As to the "baseless and twisted attacks" that you claim I made on your character, you're the guy (nut) who wrote the "bizzaro-environmentalist" book ...

featuring (as I recall) ...

the "never-discovered-until-you-came-along" secret biblical truth about how urbanites "crave" going back to nature.

You ... and your publisher ... have to deal with that "complete" nonsense.

And you can chill wityh the "hyper-spiritual" "G_d" reference ...

You are ... indeed ... quite a piece of work ... as Shakespeare would say ...

See if you can get a life beyond writing ridiculous books about "environmental wacko fantasies" ...

What is bizzaro about privatizing environmental management to do a better job than the government? Even your hero Mr. Gingrich talks about such things, albeit he is enormously ignorant on the topic.

the "never-discovered-until-you-came-along" secret biblical truth about how urbanites "crave" going back to nature.

Oh, so you think there's no demand for parks?

And you can chill wityh the "hyper-spiritual" "G_d" reference ...

The posting window is equipped with spell check.

As to "hyper spiritual" I merely cite the source. If you don't care what the Messiah has to say, what are you doing here at FR? Your hero General Patton was a spiritual man you know.

I've never even had deranged women rant at me like this ...

I'm certainly not at Free Republic to do book reviews, especially those that appear "off the reservation" like your does initially.

Believe me, I've seen more than my share of books anouncing a "new biblical revelation".

I'm sure the book contains some good ideas, after all, you've got the insight to solve pretty complex engineering problems.

I respect your right to hold your own opinions, even if they're in error occassionally.

I would request the same consideration extended to me.

As to all of that, have an enjoyable evening.

Just what "reservation" would that be? Roosevelt's? Guess what, he pushed Yellowstone as a fob to the railroads! The whole concept of government land management has been little more than political corruption from the beginning. It was certainly a corruption of the Constitution.

Believe me, I've seen more than my share of books anouncing a "new biblical revelation".

I don't doubt that for a minute. Your problem is that both a Hebrew linguist and an Israeli rabbi, expert in the Sabbath year, have reviewed it and agreed with its exegesis. In fact, the Orthodox Jewish Chabad website changed their translation of the particular verse in question pursuant to the book. There are important historical reasons why the original meaning of the Sabbath year was lost which I do explain, for free, on the site.

I'm sure the book contains some good ideas, after all, you've got the insight to solve pretty complex engineering problems. I would request the same consideration extended to me.

Respect is earned. Look at the epithets you have flung so flippantly.

It's peculiar that you launch into "attack mode" in fiercely defending your book ...

to a person (me) who's basically not a wit interested in "revealed secrets" of the Sabbath year.

Your problem is that both a Hebrew linguist and an Israeli rabbi, expert in the Sabbath year, have reviewed it and agreed with its exegesis.

Sorry, it's not "my problem".

If your Hebrew scholars agree with you ... then "congratulations" on the latest rendition of answering the circa 2014 question of ...

"How Many Angels can Dance on the Head of a Pin".

As we are both engineers, we can appreciate calculating "pi" to a million decimal places, for applications such as navigating a spacecraft to the Horse Head Nebula ...

but in most scenarios, having "pi" calculated to seven places provides all the accuracy necessary.

I view your book as such.

"Valuable" in the sense that it calculates aspects of the "Sabbath" to a hundred places ...

but otherwise "not essential" to ordinary life.

I myself have studied the "Sabbath".

I could introduce statements that Christ made regarding the Sabbath ... but who really wants to argue "religion" ?

I certainly don't.

I respect your research, insight, dedication into your book ... all said with the reservation that "I haven't read it" ....

At the end of the day, I also respect your right to worship Yahweh in whatever manner you believe most respects Him.

I just don't think that calculating the "Sabbath's spiritual value" to a million decimal places is worth people wasting time getting into violent arguments is worth the trouble.

Adieu and Salut,

Patton-at-Bastogne
