Check out "None Dare Call It Conspiracy" by Gary North.

It is a bit dated but I remember reading this when it was first published in 1972. Had the pleasure of meeting the author back then.

It is a distillation of the larger work, "Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time" (1965) by Dr. Caroll Quigley (coincidentally was also one of BJ Clinton's professors).

The book was quickly taken out of print, allegedly because it exposed too much of the "secret" stuff behind world finance and the political mechanics thereof. I have a copy of this larger book, myself.

The history and what was then current knowledge about the CFR is discussed at length. Fascinating reading even 40 years later.

Sometimes I fear I’m becoming a conspiracy nut but the more I read, the more I believe there really is some sort of giant conspiracy to eliminate the United States of America. I really didn’t pay attention until Obama took over.
