Posted on 07/12/2014 6:36:36 AM PDT by ilovesarah2012

I saw something on FB about the group and have been looking at their website and I see David M. Rubenstein is an officer and connected to the Carylye Group, which is connected to George Soros.

The only recent president who has not been a member of the CFR is Reagan.

Oldie but goodie:

CFR is very Anti American Globalist. Not as secretive or devious as Bilderburger, but their policies are anti American

For years, Liberal Globalists would deny the CFR existed....even while the CFR published Foreign Relations periodicals...which were available at many booksellers

CFR tries to use a lot of intellectual spin in their writings to cover their One World nonsense

Note that the Carlyle Group, which George Soros is a member, was formed by GOPe who served in the Reagan and Bush 41 admin. The Bush family are long time members of the Carlyle Group

Their “mission statement” is very vague.

I guess Chicago has their own version:

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, founded in 1922 as The Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, is an independent, nonpartisan organization committed to influencing the discourse on global issues through contributions to opinion and policy formation, leadership dialogue, and public learning.

Michelle Obama was listed as a director on the Chicago Council website until her husband started gaining more attention during the 2008 Democratic nomination race.

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs was founded as the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations on February 20, 1922. At its inception, the council included 23 members with the purpose of opposing what they viewed as U.S. isolationism during the first World War. Ivo Daalder has served as President of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs since July, 2013.

Ivo H. Daalder (born 1960, The Hague, Netherlands), has served as President of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs since July, 2013. He was the U.S. Permanent Representative on the Council of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization from May 2009 to July 2013. He is a specialist in European security. He was a member of the staff of United States National Security Council (NSC) during the administration of President Bill Clinton, and was one of the foreign policy advisers to President Barack Obama during his 2008 presidential campaign.[2]

I get the impression not many conservatives are involved in the organization.

I had a friend who was obsessed with the CFR back in 1981. And he would talk to anyone who would listen. I already knew about it. He was basically a lone voice crying out in the wilderness.

Check out "None Dare Call It Conspiracy" by Gary North.

It is a bit dated but I remember reading this when it was first published in 1972. Had the pleasure of meeting the author back then.

It is a distillation of the larger work, "Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time" (1965) by Dr. Caroll Quigley (coincidentally was also one of BJ Clinton's professors).

The book was quickly taken out of print, allegedly because it exposed too much of the "secret" stuff behind world finance and the political mechanics thereof. I have a copy of this larger book, myself.

The history and what was then current knowledge about the CFR is discussed at length. Fascinating reading even 40 years later.

FReegards!

Sometimes I fear I’m becoming a conspiracy nut but the more I read, the more I believe there really is some sort of giant conspiracy to eliminate the United States of America. I really didn’t pay attention until Obama took over.

It’s not a conspiracy. They are very open about their intentions and plans.

A lot of people just don’t pay attention, or don’t believe they mean what they say.

CFR is a gatekeeping organization for US political types that is completely aligned with the globalist agendas vs our national agenda. If you are not a CFR member, chances are you will not ever be a President or Senator or powerful member of the Federal government. Membership equals access and privileges which is why both parties embrace CFR. As mentioned by other posts, this is not a conspiracy. CFR publishes the “Foreign Affairs” which basically outlines their agenda very clearly.

Should CFR be dismantled? If they were, some other similar organization would probably pop up and perform the same gatekeeping role. Remember, politicians are a dime a dozen. Centuries of wealth building means the super elite of billionaires and trillionaires do not want any loose cannons upsetting the system we live in. Behind every king, is a kingmaker.

So we have a lot of unelected people controlling a lot of what happens in America it seems.

Research by two different people may help you understand that We the People do not elect Presidents, they are selected in advance and the whole election process is just theater to keep us from messing up the plans of the Global Luciferians for their one world Communist Government.

They have a members roster at the website (if you trust it).

A few names I noticed:
James Baker III
Frank C. Carlucci
Zoe Baird
George Soros
George Clooney
George R. Stephanopoulos
Lawrence H. Summers
Chuck Hagel
Gary Hart
Franklin D. Raines
Dan Rather
Condoleezza Rice
Paul D. Wolfowitz
Robin Wright
David H. Petraeus
Janet Yellen

And that was a quick look. I’m sure there are many more I didn’t run across
