So which federal law had Obama violated?
Section 1028 of the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) prohibits any funds to be used to transfer any individual detained at Guantanamo to the custody or control of any other foreign country unless the secretary of defense certifies to Congress, not later than 30 days before the transfer, that the receiving country will detain the individual appropriately and has taken or agreed to take such actions as the Secretary of Defense determines are necessary to ensure that the individual cannot engage or re-engage in any terrorist activity.
As reported by Elizabeth Price Foley of The Washington Times, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel did not:
◾Comply with the 30-day rule; or
◾Provide certification that the five Gitmo terrorists do not pose a future threat to the United States after transfer to Qatar.

Yeah that’ll happen.
There is an ongoing criminal conspiracy and Holder is at the center.
Just one? I am sure there is more than that.
a lawless president, a spineless congress, and a clueless judiciary.
that about sum it up ?
I can’t see how this kind of law can be binding on a President. It seems like it’s a complete usurpation of executive powers.
To me, the overweening powers granted to the EPA, etc. go in the opposite direction, and are much more alarming. It’s like hoarding nickels and giving away hundred dollar bills.
Deal made with taliban, keep things quiet after we pull out for a while.
Release much like a judge and parol commisssion releasing a murder rapist that will do it again and no one is held responsible for the release meanwhile your duahgter is raped and murdered by this person. We live in bizzaro world, when are we going to wake up?
that about sum it up ?
a lawless president, a spineless congress, and a clueless absolutely wicked judiciary.
There, fixed it.
This law is like the Tenure of Office Act that almost got Andrew Johnson removed,
Chuck Hagen didn’t like him as a GOP Senator and even lies worse as a Defense Minister
Was a ransom paid for Bergdahl?

In theory, the Congress writes the laws, the President enforces the laws. The President does not have authority to ignore laws he doesn't like.
Wait til it comes out that they probably paid millions in cash ransom to the Haqqani’s for Bergdahl’s release. I am waiting for that shoe to drop.
