In his lengthy and demented manifesto, Elliot Rodger, the alleged Isla Vista gunman, wrote that his political leanings were fascistic and that he wanted desperately to be considered "a god" to those he intended to kill.
Though much of his ramblings stay away from officially declaring a political affiliation, in one passage Rodger specifically talks about political discussions with one of his "friends," Addison Altendorf.
According to the manifesto, Rodger frequently talked to Addison, who shared many beliefs with him. In one passage, Rodger comments (emphasis mine):
I talked to Addison about my old political views, debating with him about what an ideal world would look like. I found out that he had some fascist views of his own, and it was nice to have a discussion with someone about things that would make most normal people run a mile.As the paragraph indicates, Rodger himself had fascistic ideas and was pleasantly surprised when he found someone with similar ideas of their own.
Rodger also was fascinated with being "a god" to those he planned to murder. In passage after passage, he repeatedly uses the same terminology when talking about killing innocents:
..."Once they see all of their friends heads roll onto the street, everyone will fear me as the powerful god I am."
"I am the closest thing there is to a living god."
"On the Day of Retribution, I will truly be a powerful god, punishing everyone I deem to be impure and depraved."
And finally: "I am a god."

There’s his party affiliation right there.
Facists = left wing lunatics. See Hitler and Mussolini.
Then again, that's what Dems do. They indoctrinated him well.
No God.
Hates good looking people.
Totalitarian bent.
Sounds leftist to me, but he’ll be painted as the quintessential “tea bagger”.
It’s sad when we hear of a shooting like this that our first reaction is what this perp’s political affiliation is. The media has made people think that way and you know in the bowels of the NYT, CNN, ABC, and other liberal bastions they were immediately looking for a Tea Party angle. Since that didn’t pan out another “right-wing” bogeyman must be fingered and it looks like it will be the NRA.
It’s going to be interesting to see what lengths the commie libs have to go to in order to label him as a conservative and tie him to the TEA Party.
Shallow product of ,rat Hollywood.
What was this, a screenplay for Hunger Games 17?
Alleged? Alleged? Alleged???????
Just like 0bama.
He sounds like he wanted to be Obama.
“...and paying for it legally,...”
The fact that he never did at least satisfy his curiosity by hiring a Hooker suggests to me he had shortcomings or reservations that were his real problem. I mean he doesn’t seem the type to have had MORAL reservations about such a thing.
His screed is the same kind of ravings written by serial killers before him. The single fascism reference merely enables Partisan Media Shills’ spin. Thanks therightliveswithus.
He had money and a BMW and still couldn’t get laid?
Sounds like a real loser.
What drugs was he prescribed?
Don’t forget he was in the middle of the biggest party school in the nation. They should have given him a bottle of tequila and some viagra and the problem would have taken care of itself.
