Thought it might be an interesting and instructive poll, especially for guests who come and read.
I have broken it down into broad categories covering the 6 major branches of the service. And if anyone thinks that Military spouse or parent is not a bona-fide branch of the military - I am sure some of the wonderful parents and spouses will set them right in short order!
I have given everyone two votes, as there may be overlap between the categories in some cases. Poll runs for 10 days, and guests are welcome to vote. As always, inter-service rivalry in the comments is expected!

My Dad was Army (82nd Airborne, WWII), my brother was Army (Okinawa during Viet Nam era), my daughter was Army (served in Germany) and I am the black sheep of the family, USAF and AFANG. I served in Berlin at Tempelhof Airport, 73-75, also an ANG Air Control Squadron and Combat Comm Squadron.
USMC for me, USN for Dad, USA for Grandpa and great-granddad, great-great-grandfather was CSA. Not sure about the generations before that.
