U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has found himself under attack from some within his own party. On Monday the Charleston County Republican Committee passed a resolution, by a close vote of 39-32, to censure Graham. There was immediate reaction:
The vote was immediately criticized by Republican National Committeewoman Cindy Costa as foolish on the eve of an election.

This blog is run by Eric Cantor supporters. They seem to think Lindsey Graham is beyond criticism.

Well, I seem to disagree with them. So there!

And, let me think, did L Graham vote to confirm Kagin or Sotomayor? Hmmm-—let me think. Surely a sane person wouldn’t do that. If they did, well, it really wouldn’t matter what party they were in.

No wonder white House is occupied by a democrat.
And no wonder republican have been in minority for 90%
of time in last 100 years.
You will rarely see democrats turning on other democrats.
Republicans will fight among themselves, clearing the field
for democrats. If Newt & little Ricky did not fight a duel
to death in 2012, Romney does not win the nomination, and
we could have had president Gingrich or President Santorum.
I am renaming the feuding republicans as masochists.

I think that makes a total of five (please correct me if wrong) county Republican organizations here in South Carolina that have censured linda.
Twelve years ago this was elected as our Senator from South Carolina...

Exactly. I don’t know why people insist on confusing the two.

I believe that the idea is that the Republican party MUST be DEFINED as the conservative party. To the degree that many vote Republican on that assumption, this keeps some of the RINOs voting better than they would otherwise. Few of them would distance themselves from the conservative label explicitly, because it generally hurts them in the primary, except in some pockets of the northeast.

It is true that the Democrats keep their base happy.
They throw them enough bones and don’t ever deride them.
They also nominated a full-on Marxist, really making the base happy.
