I agree on calling a convention.

The first order of bidnis must be to limit the ability of the federal government to create near-infinite amounts of money and debt (redundant) out of thin air. Near-infinite money buys near-infinite government bureaucracy like BLM and EPA.

However, because the results of a convention will have to be ratified by a super-majority of the states, it may take several years for any change to be made.

It will never work - the tax takers outnumber the tax payers.

Is she out of her mind? Right now it is the Consitution that prevents a complete progressive remake of America into a European socialist state

Goodbye 2nd amendment. Goodbye 10th amendment. Goodbye federalism in general.

Once a “convention of states” is opened, everything will end up on the table. Just like the last time a “convention of states” occured in 1787, which was initially designed to revamp the article of confederation

Way to go Sarah!

We the People are taking our Sacred Republic back. We'll start with the Article V process. Then on to November 4, 2014.

Research links on the Article V process and the Liberty Amendments:

Convention of States - Alabama Way to go Alabama! A good introduction.

'Convention of states' to rein in government? Another great summary explanation.

Let’s all work together to get this going.

The Federal Government is broken. IRSgate, BLMgate, Benghazigate, FastandFuriousgate, Obamacare, Lernergate, Holdergate, NSAgate, EPA, more taxes, more regulations, out of control spending, 18 Trillion national Debt, appeasement foreign policy, gutting the Military, Common Core, Obama, career politicians, amnesty on deck, NDAA. . the list goes on and on.

We owe it to The Founders and ourselves to attempt a rational Article V amendment process. It will take awhile, but if done correctly and carefully, just might help save our Republic. We have Just Begun to Fight!

A constitutional convention forming a new government is the only way we can get out from under the burden of debt on this country.

I disagree with the title. What the article uses as her quote, includes the following:

“because this is the tool the Constitution gives us to rein in our out-of-control federal government via a process to amend the Constitution”

Sara understands that this is not a purely Democrat party issue, it is as much an R issue and it will not be resolved by “winning elections.” Washington is not going to fix itself!

While there are some that are rightfully and reasonably critical of a convention (they fear it could be hijacked to rewrite the entire Constitution), many supporters are working hard towards ensuring the Convention would be strictly limited to only a few subjects, such as a balanced budget amendment and term limits.

How will they do that?
