"They know we're coming." With piss-poor operational security, Feds flood the zone at Las Vegas

"They know, Chuck, they know. They know we're coming." -- ATF undercover agent Robert Rodriguez to raid commander Chuck Sarabyn, 28 February 1993, one hour before the raid on the Branch Davidians.

"It is of no concern. Soon the Rebellion will be crushed."
Looking like nothing so much as the evil-eaten Emperor Palpatine from the Star Wars saga, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has promised local media that "this isn't over." And, in truth, reports on the Internet of Fed cops of various agencies' jack-booted thug teams flooding into Las Vegas hotels are certainly correct. They are there by the hundreds, taking over entire floors, playing the slot machines and trying to look inconspicuous, which is working out about as well as you might expect. This is known to just about everybody who's paying attention to the situation in Bunkerville, including the local media who are not reporting it, for now. Just who this demonstration of stark naked so-called "operational security" and impotent puffery is supposed to impress is another matter. Harry Reid, perhaps. Bob Wright has observed that Harry seems to believe he's in a "biggest ****" contest with Cliven Bundy. Like the juvenile high school hall monitor who can't get the other kids to stop running, Harry is throwing a hissy fit. Personally, I'm happy for him. Every time Harry opens his mouth, we get another hundred thousand converts to our cause nationwide. Indeed, if the mumbling, bumbling Harry did not exist, we might have to invent him. Of course, your average high school hall monitor doesn't have the power and might of the militarized federal police establishment at his beck and call. Still, what this is supposed to accomplish, beyond a ratcheting up of the attempted psy-war campaign against the Bundys and the volunteers who guard them, is a mystery to the analysts I talk to.

I know that the Bundys are not going away, and neither are the volunteers. Unless the federal government has decided to kill them all and initiate the next American civil war, this is all just your tax dollars at work in a massive display of gambling prowess.

That potential conflict, as I have explained many times would be suicidal, both personally for Harry Reid and and for his mandarin class. And as long as even one closet Oath Keeper or Three Percenter in the federal ranks remains -- and there are many -- the feds know that there is no military option that cannot be compromised. So Emperor Harry can go on muttering about how "soon the rebellion will be crushed," and the storm troopers can continue to dip their wicks in the soft envelopments of Vegas hookers, but it is all hat and no cattle, as they say out here. They may be fooling themselves, but they do not fool the hardy band of determined patriots dug in along the banks of the Virgin River.

"I think personally a number of people involved at the higher corrupt levels of this had better be real aware of the potential for offensive ops, focused on them. At least if I was Harry, that’s where my mind would wander."

Oh, you can bet Harry and company has that covered, and targets preselected. There will most likely soon be a round up of "all the usual suspects," and suspension of the writ of habeus corpus. Damned fools. Being insular, arrogant, inside the beltway types, they have no idea what they are about to unleash...perhaps they do, and simply don't care. Welcome to the hornets nest, boys.

At 19 my 88 year old father was pursuing those Fascists across Germany.

I was at Sunday School and Church with him today. He had lunch with my wife and I. During Lunch we spoke of the Bundy Ranch episode and I asked him if he remembered the last time he saw that. He said yes, and had a strong look on his face.

He had seen TV try to make Bundy look like a criminal. He could not remember what network it was on, it was not Fox.

Bears repeating.

JACK HINSON’S ONE-MAN WAR: A Civil War Sniper

brief review:

https://www.mca-marines.org/leatherneck/bookreview/jack-hinson-s-one-man-war-civil-war-sniper

Have the book, worth reading.

After his boys were killed and their heads put on the fence post he had a custom rifle built. Finest he could have made. Weighed over 18 pounds. 50 caliber.

They never caught this old man (around 60).

Yes, long range hunting rifles are potent weapons.

Outstanding link. Thank you for it.

“Collins evolved a new concept of guerrilla warfare that in time would be copied by guerrilla leaders all over the globe from Mao to Shamir. The Collins philosophy was based not on the capture of enemy bricks and mortar, but of its information. Traditionally Dublin Castle, the seat of British administration in Ireland, had used a network of spies and informers to infiltrate and then snuff out movements directed at securing Irish independence. Collins perfected a system of spying on the spies. Every important branch of the Castle system, whether it was banking, policing, the railways, shipping, the postal service — whatever — was infiltrated by his agents. These were not highly trained, CIA-style operatives, but ordinary men and women, little people whom nobody had ever taken notice of before. Collins gave them a belief in themselves, a courage they did not know they possessed, and they in return gave him a complete picture of how their masters operated. . .”

This is why young Americans who respect the lives and liberty of others as well as their own SHOULD enter the government apparatuses and military, despite odious policy shifts and culture. Be in their headquarters. Be within their communications systems. Be a link in their logistical chains. Be at their backs.

"Yes, long range hunting rifles are potent weapons."

Most all of the Feds and the local LEO shoot those short-barreled M-4 variants.

Very few even have access to the long-range rifles and even those that do are not likely to be effective with them.

They don't train for it.

However, almost every patriot who has an AR or AK variant also has a well-tuned hunting rifle...and they know how to use it effectively. They now need to refine and extend those skills to 500yds minimum. Every patriot should be able to hit a 12inch target at 500yds, first time, every time.

Game changer.

A faithful 30-06 is quite capable of giving that range and more. In the right hands.

There are some incredible non-factory loads that can easily do that range.

Every time I think about long range accuracy, I think about Billy Dixon and the Sharps 50 in the 1850’s making a shot just short of a mile, with iron sights and black powder. THAT is amazing.

"They may be fooling themselves, but they do not fool the hardy band of determined patriots dug in along the banks of the Virgin River."

Here is a manifestation of 4th Gen warfare tactics learned by the American People as a result of Waco and innumerable other, smaller clashes.

Out Range them.

Disperse. Dig in. Avoid buildings.

Send out reconnaissance patrols.

Dig holes in the ground and wait. Find cover on the high ground and wait.

If the feds are dumb enough (and I don't think they are) to assault that ranch those who survive will tell a tale for the ages.
