If this had happened in NY, NJ, IL, MA, CA, OR, or WA the BLM would have opened fire and many protestors would have been killed.

Only because NV has so many ranchers and open carry laws was this allowed.

If it happens again in a hard blue state - be prepared.....

BLM does not have legal police powers granted by congress, so its swat team was not legal. The BLM has the right though to hire police services on contract. BLM employees do not have authority to confront, harrass, or intimidate citizens as you can see them doing on several of the videos. BLM behavior was illegal. Taking the cattle was actually theft.

Kent State
1.the protesters were mostly outside agitators
2. The girl usually depicted was a runaway and part time prostitute not a student
3. SDS organized this and they were throwing rocks bottles Nd construction debris at the soldiers who were Nat Guard and not trained in crowd control

A tragedy yes but not the way it is usually depicted by azz wipes like RFK jr

This article, more specifically, the author is a nutcase, really.

What a bunch of revisionist, one sided crap.

Wounded Knee? Kent State? Occupy Wall Street?

Three historical conflicts with three extremely different purposes and results. The author then says everyone who came to Bunkerville was a Tea Party ‘so-called’ Patriot and then proceeds to whine about why “they got a pass”.

Where, my friend, in your pea brain recollection does Ruby Ridge Fall? Where does Waco fall?

My 10 year old grand daughter could have made a better argument for any of her causes than this. The article gives the term ‘sophomoric’ a bad name.

At Waco and other places the Feds could go the the motel and relax after their shift. They had America at their back.

Things have changed. Now they have America at their back.

We see Obama backing down from Putin because he doesn’t want violence (a liberal mantra) ... Would he back away from domestic violence for the same reason? Looks like he did. This doesn’t compute for me because I really believe he is arming to control the masses ... But if the masses hold a gun....

Has Josh NEVER been taught the history of Our Second Amendment?Does she believe it is just for duck hunting or the gun range target shoot? Has he/she/it been so misled by public education that they believe only domestic terrorists carry guns? Was this guy an accolade for Harry Reid? Or just a democratic Party paid activist? What I do not understand is WHY there are so many ignorant people who rant about the evil?
TEA Party? The ol boys ignorance is painted by his white animus. Has he forgotten Marcus? This was a MAD Magazine reject as satire right?

I would feel more in jeopardy within 100 meters of a Kennedy operating anything with and internal combustion engine in it than I would standing next to the Bundy family.

First off the numbers reported in NV were way low. There were a lot of units active in the sage brush and spread out. The government thugs like a group to come against in a small area. They then use over whelming force and crush the protesters in one controlled sweep. Small unit gorilla warfare is there worst night mare. It's not the night that scares them but the unseen bump in the night. If the goons would have started this in NV you would have seen SUA from coast too coast and border too border.

This is the first time I’ve heard the Tea Party associated with the Bundy Ranch activity.

I guess if you’re going to smear somebody...might as well be as inclusive as possible. Use a wide brush.

Sounds like Josh is disappointed there wasn’t a bloodbath with significant loss of life on the Bundy side.

What an azzwipe.

There is an obvious double standard here. But what’s the x-factor? Is it race? Guns? Demographics? Ideology? Or a combination of many things?

The fact that the TEA Party protesters are just the tip of an iceberg. The MOVE people were not even popular among the black community. The Indians were a small movement, not hooked into mainstream society. Kent State was a panic reaction by National Guardsmen, not a deliberate order.

The government employees do not want to piss off the people who are in their neighborhoods and know where they live. Or as Fight Club aptly put it:

We guard you while you sleep. Do not f*** with us..

“So, why in the hell does the Tea Party get a pass? Is it because they’re white Americans with guns?”

Because the gov’t backed down.

Why did the gov’t back down?

Because they did not have The Constitution on their side. The best measure of their OWN sense of illegitimacy was that when their authority was challenged they ran. No righteous steward of The Law COULD EVER do as the government did in NV.

This confrontation did not happen in a vacuum. For better than a century power has been stolen fron The People and centralized in the executive. What made 2014 different is that an executive has now picked up all of the strands of the various agencies and, having them in hand, SPOKEN LAW INTO BEING.

HE SPOKE LAW INTO BEING!

The psychic anger that has been building for decades in all honest Men who can understand simple language, was added to intolerably and exploded. Men who had other work to do put it aside and picked up their guns and stood up for The Law as they understood it.

People will try to caricaturize these Patriots in all the usual ways (just as the author has done)but those guns were LOADED. They were not symbolic. They were not being used to send a message or scare anyone. They were the tools of War in the hands of men who “had business in their eye” and who MEANT to defend Right if it cost them their lives. With the unerring instinct for self preservation that all animals have the government abandoned their implied claim of Duty and made a choice for War later rather than War right now.

What Kennedy doesn’t understand, or if he does, does not acknowledge, is the fact that we as Liberty-minded patriots oppose government overreach and militarization, regardless of what political cause the protestors represent. The people had the right, have the right and will have the right no matter what some bureaucrat says.

The first amendment zones or areas they established and the blatant scare tactics of militarily armed storm troopers are what boiled my blood. Hell no!!!

I will gladly defend any protestors against Gestapo tactics!

Most people really have no clue about the Spirit of American Independence of 1776. They quake in their shoes thinking about opposing the Redcoats then, or the Fedcoats today. Only a few are Patriots. The rest are Tories. Then and now.

Joshua de Leon obviously does not understand the difference between a mob of unarmed protesters and the constitutionally armed militia.

The US govt backed down for a few reasons at the Bundy ranch. One of which is that they were severely outgunned. Another was the fact that they did not have the moral highground. They were the lawless agressor.

The militias are not comprised of a bunch of college kids. They are mostly former military and/or LEo’s with combat experience. They are not going be cowed by a bunch of forest rangers with tactical gear and few mercs from Blackwater.

As long as the US govt continues its lawless attacks on the American public the response from the militia will continue and intensify.
