My wife received her cancellation letter yesterday. She’s been paying a monthly premium in excess of $1,000, not to mention a large deductible and a $30 copay for each doctor visit. I shudder to think of what the terms of any new policy she will be able to secure will be.
why do people keep saying this will force everyone into “single payer”?
single payer requires SOMEONE TO DELIVR SERVICE FOR WHICH TO GET PAID
ie, doctors or other healthcare providers who are willing to become govt employees. A draft of doctors will have to occur for this to happen on a national scale
My longtime doctor “retired” December 31 last year for this exact reason. His farewell letter to his patients made no bones about it.
